Here is a new custom order I just finished. "Pale Horse Fighter" is what the costumer wanted to call the knife and I think it fits the knife very well.

The 11 3/4" blade is forged from 1080 and 15N20 in a Persian Twist Pattern. (the first time I've made this pattern)

The fittings are made of Damascus and German Silver. The handle is premium grade Mammoth Ivory. There are 31 pieces in this knife. The overall length is 16 3/4" long.

Tell me what you think:thumbup:

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I think thats the best yet! I love it. Beautiful steel and amazing work. Handle and guard proportions look great too.

Kyle, with me you have a problem. I have come to expect
nothing less from you...

Your "Pale Horse Rider" is amazing, everything about it!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Wow!!! Incredible work! You know that we are going to have to ply you with booze and leave you in the dumpster behind the hotel at Blade on Thursday night. Otherwise, you are going to make the rest of us look bad at the JS judging:D

I think you've got some mad skills.... Ya bastard! :p

VERY NICE Kyle!!!  :D

I've never seen someone progress like you... it's pretty crazy!

Astonishing progress indeed. All 16 3/4 inches of this thing are flat out fantastic!

:eek:Not only do I feel you will get your stamp in May Kyle, I can also see whatever award they give for best knife summited for journeyman(I forgot what they call it) in your future as well. This piece is simply stunning!!!

That is simply amazing!! I LOVE everything about that that knife.

Each knife you create is batter than the last!! That one blows my socks off.

Well this one has moved into second place on my list of favorite Kyle Royer pieces.

As usual the execution of the frame handle seems to be flawless. Your Twist Damascus pattern is perfectly uniform.

Perhaps what I find most amazing about you is that each time we see your first attempt whether it's your first frame handle, first of a damascus pattern or whatever it looks as though you have been perfecting the process for years.

Nice photos as well.

That's flat out gorgeous! The Damascus is incredible and the detail on the handle and guard is just perfect. That'll make someone real happy.

You already know I really like this knife :D

Where did you put an incremental 3 pieces as compared to Explosive Fighter? Actually, I guess the question is 2 as I can see the piercing/ring in the stud on the endcap, I like that touch.

Have been waiting for you to surface with a new knife. Thanks for sharing it. Once again, Saaaweeeeettttttt! Nice job Kyle and congrats to the new owner!

Best,
Rob

Yikes! 31 pieces? I believe you, but I'm looking and counting and have managed to, at best, achieve about 20. There is some magic happening underneath.

Each one gets even better. Me likes. And, that ivory is really exceptional. Agreed.

Thanks for all the complements everyone!!!

I really had a great time making this one.

If anyone would like to see it in person it will be on display with me at the Arkansas show.

Here is a list of all the pieces, 1 blade, 1 guard, 3 piece ferrule, 3 piece frame on top and 3 pieces on the bottom, 2 handle scales, 2 piece pommel, 2 piece pommel nut and 14 internal line up pins.

Kyle by far that is my favorite knife that youve made. In every way, every detail is spot on. Would love to see this one first hand.
