Para-Military in CTS-204P

Having seen how Spyderco operates, my guess is that the reason they are mum on this delay is because the real reason for the delay would reflect poorly on a partner. Spyderco lives by the shiny footprints credo, and I respect them for it.

Mark my words: I will never ever miss a pre-order EVER again. (Like anyone cares)

Youre right, no one cares. So go to the Whine and Cheese to cry about this and the fact that you wont pay what these will be going for on the secondary market. Even if you wouldnt pay it (which I dont necessarily believe) there will be, like you said, hundreds of other people who wished they got the pre order who will pay the secondary market price. So stop posting in this thread about your feelings.

Cry about what? I'm just saying what I'm gonna do and how I'm gonna do it. If you don't like it, you go to whine & cheese and play with yourself there.

Only point I'm trying to bring is there are folks who would love to be on the list for one of these, so dont feel too bad that its late, at least those that are on the list are guaranteed one for the ideal price. A price I am willing to pay for one. Just sharing my thoughts. There is not a need to get personal with me pal, that belongs in W&C. This is totally unprovoked, I have never spoken to you on here nor have I ever seen your posts.

My post you quoted was totally on topic, we are having an open discussion on the Green Para2, check the title. You seem to be the one showing YOUR feelings. That's ok though, at least its out there.

FCM415 wrote me a creepy PM yesterday heckling me about selling my "spots" for the PM2, replete with "lol"s and other juvenile, asinine, needling text. I did not respond. He is a poor representative of the Spyderco brand.

It is fair to not be pleased with Spyderco's handling of this release. That said, my work knife is an orange Spyderco Military -and I love it. It is my most carried knife and I would never trade it. I promote the USA produced models to people who are interested. I am not trying to hurt the brand with my comments about this release; merely stating a very fair opinion as a customer who paid up one year ago. I hope it will be received as such by those with less extremely-biased points of view.

Peace, brothers and sisters.

Where in the hell is this knife? Today the dealer said that they are expecting them in May. What a joke. Of course, they say I am welcome to cancel my pre-order and lose my deposit. How many releases have there been with this steel since pre-order one year ago?

Poorly played, Spyderco.

It's your prerogative to be frustrated of course, but being overly critical is another. Many things can be happening that none of us know about. One thing though, I misread the part that said that you are welcome to cancel your preorder, I actually thought that you said YOU were gonna cancel your preorder out of disgust judging by the tone of your post. My bad on that end. That was why I expressed how people are willing to take your spot happily. Calling my PM creepy is putting it on a little thick. I asked if you were serious about dropping your spot and if we can work something out. Of course, now I see I had that part absolutely misconstrued actually.

As far as being a Spyderco representative, by no means do I speak for the company let alone get paid for being here. Im here on my own just like everyone else with opinions and ideas. Im mainly here to learn though. If my association with "SpyderNation" causes you to assume this then I have done the group a disservice. It is not that serious though, but being a member is also a hindrance to me as I do appreciate plenty of other brands as well. I happen to collect Spyderos the most, but Im here for their knives I can do without the club. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I read his post as humor. :)

It's all good, or going to be...let's consider letting the thread cool off again? :) I'll be the first to take my own advice. :D

We need to keep the comments on the topic and not each other. You're allowed to be upset with long wait times on pre-orders while others are fine waiting. Some have no cards on the table and are here to stir the pot. When we start pointing fingers at each other things can and usually do get sideways. Stay civil and do not discuss each other and all will be well.

Being upset on long wait times is one thing, I myself have knives on queue and it does get frustrating. I find that overly criticizing a company for unforeseen delays without knowing the full picture is tasteless and I would speak up about it in defense of any brand, not just Spyderco from baseless acusations. If it's not ready, it's not ready. Sal is known to gladly disclose information, more so than any company rep I've seen...If he's keeping his lips sealed about the green Para2, there must be a valid reason. One thing is clear, I am not a representative of Spyderco, you can shove that idea somewhere.

It is my own doing that I received heat. They didn't like it, and had to get personal... My apologies Morrow and thanks for looking this up when I flagged it.

This is wisdom.

To me the delay is like an annoying fly that buzzed in when I let the dogs out. Bothersome enough to notice, but it doesn't ruin my day.

Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
The green Para will get here when it gets here.Nothing we do or say will change that. It's out our hands and in the powers that be.....

Stopped by to see the update on release. Looks like we are still in line waiting.....

Anyone know what the official hold up is? It is starting to get to a level of ridiculous now.

There seems to be problems with production output on the normal PM2 as well. I don't know if something is wrong or if their factory is too busy with other folders, but I expect the normal PM2 is the priority before starting up the CTS204P model.

They had a system crash and lost all the design and machining templates for the Para 2. They're now trying to back engineer a standing Para 2 w/NASA.

Just Kidding.

My heart sank, and I actually died a little, until I read the last line. :)

I sold all my pm2s with the thought of having my green one by now but im just taking a break from my true love and having a affair with the gayle Bradley :) could be worse but still waiting
