Can the dealer order more runs of this knife like Bento Box Shop does ?
Yes, and this dealer has done something similar before, though not with Spyderco.

Mark my words: I will never ever miss a pre-order EVER again. (Like anyone cares)
Where in the hell is this knife? Today the dealer said that they are expecting them in May. What a joke. Of course, they say I am welcome to cancel my pre-order and lose my deposit. How many releases have there been with this steel since pre-order one year ago?
Poorly played, Spyderco.
Youre right, no one cares. So go to the Whine and Cheese to cry about this and the fact that you wont pay what these will be going for on the secondary market. Even if you wouldnt pay it (which I dont necessarily believe) there will be, like you said, hundreds of other people who wished they got the pre order who will pay the secondary market price. So stop posting in this thread about your feelings.
Having seen how Spyderco operates, my guess is that the reason they are mum on this delay is because the real reason for the delay would reflect poorly on a partner. Spyderco lives by the shiny footprints credo, and I respect them for it.
They had a system crash and lost all the design and machining templates for the Para 2. They're now trying to back engineer a standing Para 2 w/NASA.
Just Kidding.
My heart sank, and I actually died a little, until I read the last line.![]()
