I paid my deposit for this one over a year ago now. And I can't wait to preorder the Yojimbo 2 with S90V and Carbon Fiber. :foot:
 
Well, I'm just excited at the prospect of someone finally willing to give up their spot. You said you don't want it anymore, assuming you're a man of your word, PM me... I will not be purchasing it from the secondary market, that's just how I roll, so...hook me up! I understand that this isn't the appropriate place but I'm sure it's just all talk anyway, besides we're both Gold members, PM sent.
 
Spyderco in my opinion does a whole heck of alot more right than "wrong". No business is immune to drawbacks and that includes knife companies. I have two orders not from Spyderco that's held back right now! If it's not ready, it's not ready. There's hundreds if not thousands of people who would love to have a spot on the preorder list. If anyone feels disrespected and would like to move on from the knife, pass it along. Problem solved. Let's take into account how the dealer is known to jump the gun with their exclusives. The ShotShow Griptilian for example wasn't even officially announced yet and they were already taking preo-orders before they were supposed to. There's another knife on their preo-order list that's been held up for two years already... How about announcing the Yo and ManixXL exclusives one year before preorder even opens. Add that to the Golden factory being behind schedule with even their standard PM2's and it may be a little easier to understand what happened, not to mention the bad batch of CTS-204P.

If anyone is really that upset, make someone else happy... Give up your spot.
 
Isn't there something in the TOS about being over 12 YO? This thread is a candidate for being moved to Whine & Cheese. :(

I've been thinking that too, but it has been over 12 months since the last pre-order. I'm wondering how long it will be until the next one opens, and then if we have to wait 12 months or more after that for the product to arrive. But I'll still try to get in on the preorder.

This would be understandable if they are making more money on the black and digicam models vs. the sprint models. However I seem to remember right about 12 months ago the Para2's were in as much demand as they are in now, and Spyderco produced 3 separate sprint and exclusive run models in a short period of time. And recently they have made even more of the blue exclusives, and I think the brown ones too. So it is hard to think that they are not making the green ones solely because they are so busy making models of other colors.
 
I will keep my spot and wait. When they do arrive they will have two new spots....One will have a spot in my safe and the other in my pocket..Green my favorite color!
 
Let's get this in perspective. It's just (another) knife, not the cure for cancer. :rolleyes: Further, do we really have so little respect and regard for this company and its management and trust them so little to do the right thing at the right time? :(
 
To some, this is a passion. To others, this is nothing more than business transactions. Spyderco is lucky (or maybe they are just deserving) to have people defending it. I don't care. I missed the green PM2 preorder. It's water under the bridge for me. I like PM2's, and Spyderco in general. I want 10 more different PM2 sprints this year. If any of this blah, blah, blah here is going to deter Spyderco from doing something like that, we are going to have a problem. So why don't we all speak (and let others speak) whatever that's on our minds and end it with "I want more".
 
I'm on the pre order list, but frankly I'm tired of waiting on the friggin knife like someone said it's been over a year, they obviously have the steel as it's going into the southards I'm getting really frustrated on this one.
 
Personally, like I said earlier, I wont be buying one at secondary market prices so Im almost certain I wont be getting it at all. Am I gonna die? No, im not even gonna chase one down unless someone is kind enough to sell one at close dealer's price. I never play that name your own price game and Im consistent with that.

Im just saying that it is frustrating for those on the preorder list... But at least you'll actually get one. I got a gray, blue, brown, and black. I'll be ok also.
