Paramilitary 3 PM3!!! official pics and release date

maybe you should tell knifecenter
they have it listed as

Hmmmmm maybe I'm wrong then! Definitely was the talk a few months ago. Hopefully someone can lay the facts out. A dealer like knifecenter probably knows more than me!

So you just made several posts saying otherwise and now you are saying it was all a guess?
Ok

I preordered mine today at knifecenter

I feel like 'lil para' may have been a clearer name. The naming tree is all a little bit confusing.
"Para 2" is short hand by knife nuts for "Paramilitary 2". Kind of like "Millie" for the Military. The Para 3 is officially named the "Para 3" not "Paramilitary 3".

PARA 3 looks nice . I think it's hard to beat the tried and true PM2 , and despite the handle maybe being a touch too long it's an awesome EDC , and so far i think it still looks better than the Para 3 . That being said , I still pre - ordered a Para 3 - have to try it , and I'm sure it will look better in person .
Can't wait to see what steels are offered in the sprints ...

What? I posted what I did based on forum discussion over the past year... it wasn't just a guess. Also BHQ has it listed as "Paramilitary 3 minuteman". So who is correct?

Straight from Spyderco, "#thenameisofficiallypara3"

I was humbling my self and admitting that I could be wrong because I didn't know for certain. But ok.

i wish they would have given it a backlock

Put some g10 scales on a delica and you have what you're looking for. One of the main things that makes the Paramilitary special is the compression lock so they would've caught hell if they did away with that.

yeah i guess you're right, although i do like that handle shape a bit more than the delica

So am I to assume by the new pictures from Spyderco, that this picture from knife news is photoshopped? I wish that the PM3 was a proportionate mini-me and not just shorter. #dropthrgirth

Does not para 3 have a floating stop pin rather than a screw (which is wjats shown in this picture)?

I like the looks of it and will eventually pick one up, but s30v is a bit of a bummer for me. I feel like that size and those proportions and the potential usability of this design are begging for something like cts-xhp.

I can't wait for the sprint runs!

We have specifications on it?
Handle Length
Blade length
Closed length
Weight?

Yes I quoted myself. With a blade of 3in and a handle of 4.27 it is going to be ever so slightly bigger than a kershaw skyline. That actually is pretty darn good. Wish the price was $100 or a little less but this is Spyderco we are talking about. Overall I'll be on the sidelines until I hear and see some reviews etc.

The new Spyderco catalog lists the Para 3 having a thicker blade than the PM2, I would have thought the opposite would be true.
