Paramilitary 3 wish list, anyone?!?

I'd be interested in seeing how they might be able to strengthen the tip of the blade by modifying the grind/profile . . .

I would like to see a deep carry clip and the lanyard hole moved over a little. I would also like to see the compression lock a tiny bit bigger. There does look like they could increase the blade length some without a major design change.

Do something about that compression lock-up. When flipped open with any degree of authority that lock engages so tight it takes 10-15 lbs of pressure to disengage it. If you open it nice and easy it disengages much easier. There should not be that much variance based on pressure of opening. My Military, no matter how hard you flip or open the blade, it still requires the same pressure to disengage the liner-lock which is very smooth. I have just sent my Para 2 back to Colorado for them to address this issue with disengaging the lock. Lets see how they respond. In my opinion, it really takes away from the enjoyment of the knife. As far as other changes, I would finish the compression locking tab similar to that of the Military. It is too shiny on the Para2. Also, don't care for the shiny pocket clips on the satin blade models, draws more attention then the black. I tend to favor how the black wears in, looks more authentic. These are all my opinion and as we know, opinions vary. Other than that, the knife is perfect.

+1 for a slightly smaller even more pocketable version that keeps the compression lock and other para 2 ish stuff.

Lengthen the blade as much as possible.

There is a lot of unused space in the butt of the handle. Would be very easy to change nothing except adding the 3/8ths of an inch that isn't there.

I'm just guessing of course, but I bet the existing blade length is sized to be under the 3.5" laws in some areas of the country, including colorado.

I'd love it with a Military type liner lock. Everything else is just sweet as it is (I have a few deep carry ti clips)

it'd make me super happy if they made a mini version as well. something that is < 3". I have really small hands and the pm2 is pretty big for me (looking at pictures and videos of people gripping the handle...mine fills it out a lot less). it'd be nice if they put an ambidextrous lock on it as well since i use knives both left and right handed (mostly left).

I find it hard to believe that anybody would ever want to change it from the compression lock to a liner lock! :) The compression lock is one of the main reasons I fell in love with my PM2 so fast. I love it and wish all my locking knives had that same lock setup. If I was going to change anything I guess it would be more blade steel options.

Amen, reminds me of what they did with the Endura when they went Gen4 and created a Flat-Saber grind with a stronger tip. I'd love a PM or even a Millie with this profile (combo edge, of course)...
That'd be fun.

NO! Change nothing on perfection! Ok, they could make a ParaPara if they wanted. 2.75" or so with a wire clip. Maybe The Sage will get a compression lock and a Small PM won't be necessary. But don't do away with the PM2 or change a thing.

Agreed. I love the compression lock too. I like the I can easily close the knife without putting my fingers in front of the blade.

I do believe the sprint run minimum is 600, not 6. :p

Serious reply to a tongue-in-cheek answer: I thought it is 400?

In reply to other posts in this thread: a Para without the compression lock wouldn't be a Para. The compression lock is my all-time favorite lock.

The liner lock in my Militarys is plenty strong and easier to close when wearing gloves (Norway is pretty cold). Everyone has a favorite lock and mine is a well executed liner lock ;)

I also would like to see the choil replaced by sharpened edge right to the handle. The blade is plenty long for my uses, I just want more edge near the pivot. DLC'd black clip would be nice, but not a big deal.

I actually did search the forum, but used Google's search tool for searching discussion groups. Didn't see the search box at the top of the forum page . . . DOH!

Mea culpa!
