Part 2 of Emerson Q and A is up

Hope this is enough for everybody...

Reported, let's see if this one falls on deaf ears too.

Advertising his brand and knives without correct paid membership.

Why do others have to pay to pitch their wares here but this guy does not?

I am glad I still see his name on the bottom lurking in this thread...
Pay to play like the respectable people.in the industry.
This is a community that shares a common interest in sharp objects, and this is akin to asking us to support you without supporting us...

Thanks. I don't like this place being taken advantage of...

Because he's an "industry icon" of course ...

Emerson Knives is manufacturer, which can have a forum here for free as long as they have a moderator. Not the same as a small time knife maker advertising their wares without a paid membership.

So the big names get to play by their own rules. Though the folks that makes knives part time since they can't afford to survive from making knives alone, have to sacrifice a larger chunk out of their proverbial pocket?

If being a moderator is free, then does why does John from JK Knives have to pay for being a knifemaker, when he is a moderator of his subforum?

Ernest has knives made in his name, why no membership?

Of course they didn't bother to provide a moderater for their forum for a long, long time. And since Mr. Emerson is not a moderator, seems like he should probably play by the same rules as us non-iconic peasants, eh?

Honourary Navy SEAL. Wow, I never knew.

Not to be disrespectful, I don't doubt your skill at both knife making and fighting prowess, but a title or claim of such is still that, and in my book, extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof. And the burden of proof falls upon one making the claim.

Can I ask for this? I'm now more interested in this than why the choice of left handed chisel grinds and folders for UDTs/SEALs.

I humbly beg to be corrected.

I think there are things we can get worked up about that are more fun than complaining that the guy who runs a knife company--and has a forum here--is telling people about an interview he had.

But I will take this opportunity to tell everyone they should buy at least one copy of each of my books for everyone they know. :)

You too Mr. Emerson; my books make great presents for people, and they even have Emerson knives in them. :D
