Pay It Forwad Number 10! Number 10!

Nice. I'd like to get a Opinel and attach one of those Buck 110 aftermarket thumb studs to it. Not sure what I'd add to the ring lock to make it more easily closable one handed though.

I'm here! I just gave a roach belly, might put something else up soon.

Speak of the devil! Look what was waiting for me in my mailbox :D

It feels great, man. Perfect size for my hands. Thank you so much! I will put this Roach to good use.

Ok here's a custom knife I made. One of my first, so it's a bit of a beater. I learned quite a bit on it, but I don't have a use for it and would like to give it away to a BF member. As long as you put it to use in some way. Please tell me how you will use it.

It's made from 1/8" Aldo's 1084 steel, forced striped patina, tempered to about 59 hrc, paracord wrapped handle soaked in epoxy. There are some grind marks on it, and the bevels aren't pretty but I'm hoping someone can put it to good use.

I'll strap that bad boy to my 11 year old daughter's pack- she would love it.

So, this will be my last pif. I think the idea behind these treads is great and noble, but like all ideas it can be corrupted. Through the time I have participated (I think since 6, but I'm not sure) I have unfortunately realized that the spirit of these threads is not kept pure. From people using it underhandedly to benefit their business, to leaders/groups forming who give but also take more than others, to plain greed popping up again and again it seems clear that a turn has been made away from pure generosity. I greatly appreciate the things I have received, and do not mean to insult or blame any certain member. Before this post I have given through these threads more than I have received, so please don't try to insinuate that I am doing this in order to relieve myself of guilt. I am paying forward the knives that I have received through this thread that I have not already payed forward. I want them to go either to 1: someone who has never taken anything

2: the person who gave them to me (will get dibs)

First:

Leatherman Squirt

Second:

Spyderco Endura gen 1 serrated

Post here and email me to claim.

I may edit this later

Again, I thank anyone who has given to me. I have used and appreciated each of these items. It's just what I have to do.

ALLHSS, I like that Endura. I'd like to try out something that's a little bigger and more general use (have a ladybug hawkbill salt) in Spyderedge, and this is a great chance to put a piece of Spyderco's history to use.

I haven't received anything from a PIF yet. And I plan on paying it forward here soon. I'm sending you an email.

Sounds square to me. Please include your thoughts on the hawkbill ladybug!

Not a claim (saw it's destination will be on a daughters pack, perfect spot), just had to post to give an admiring "wow". Quite bada** looking, good work.

Woo!

So, the ladybug. I think that something with larger serrations would cut more effectively. That being said, I quite like the ladybug. It's definitely a little big knife. I use it mostly for opening packages. Mail, dog food, the little mesh sacks on potatoes or oranges (like these), and the like. It'd be nice if it had a clip. I'd like to put a fob on it or make it into a necklace at some point.

Thanks. It was fun to make. My dad and brothers like my new hobby as well. They seem to be the ones that benefit the most from it so far :D

That sounds like putting it to good use. Email me your info and I'll send it out.

Coming at you from Canada, so it may take a bit.

You are too kind. Thank you.

After camping in Yellowstone and the Tetons she has been after me for her own "real" (fixed blade) knife. Now I will have no shortage of fuzzy, pointy sticks for our campsite! :D
I could have just bought her any knife, but a knife like this will stick with her a lifetime.
