I'm absolutely fine with you claiming seconds, but I really want to see if one of the people who hasn't claimed anything but has contributed are interested first. In all likelihood no one will step up, but there have been some people left out. If that's ok?

Loved the shape but it didn't turn out as good as the other stuff I was doing at the time. I didn't have a belt sander then haha. Hey man it's all good. We encourage giving first but it's no big deal if people want to accept one or two items. There are a lot of younger people here who don't have much to give, but benefit from receiving, so it would be uncharitable to be stingy with the items we post lol.

I, for one, am absolutely blown away by this forum and the people on it. have been on many before and I can honestly say that none compare to this one! Look forward to many discussions in the future, but for now, thanks again!!

Speaking of does anyone know a trick to make emails sent threw the forum not show up as spam?

Use gmail, I guess. Mine never go to my junk folder.
 
Your email service should have a rules folder or somewhere on the emails menu there should be an option that will unclassify it as spam. I.E. it will say something like not junk or not spam and you will click on it.

In honor of veterans day I would like to offer either an Ontario Rat 1 or a gold membership to one member who has served in the United States armed forces. I clearly have no way of verifying that you actually served, so as with all things Pay it Forward related you are on your own honor. First member who has served who would like either one, please post to the thread.

Not a claim for either,but thanks Whet.
I was lucky & served as a mechanic during peace time so I want to thank all the vets serving now & especially those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
 
Quick Question about potential PIF.

I have a few low end knives that I was considering posting (I know at least one folder and fixed blade) and wondered if they would be useful to newer knife makers. I thought maybe they would be good for practicing heat treating, blade coating, etching, handle work, grinding?, etc. Being low quality knives (Frost Cutlery or Bud K) and didn't think they would be worth PIF to someone for actual work/carry. Maybe they would be a good source of practice without wasting good materials?
I would like to contribute something though, so I thought I would be okay to ask here instead of starting a new thread.
 
Post 'em up & see if anybody wants them.

Not everyone can afford a high end knife & even a Frost will cut,so put 'em up.

I haven't been in this thread since about the 3rd one , but last time I checked you could give what you wanted, Somebody somewhere will probably have a need for what you have, I say post it up, and Happy Veterans Day, Never Forget those who served, the real heroes are the ones who never made it back , Thoughts and Prayers to everyone who may read this who has lost someone defending this great Nation...
