Nah, that's OK man. I don't need it that bad. Just always wanted to play around with one, see what all the fuss is about. I'll probably end up grabbing one somewhere down the line.

My name is Chris and I am new knife junkie. The problem is I don't know where to start. I only have a few knives. A have a S1,H1, and a couple Mark Andrews. I am interested in getting involved in the PIF. I would appreciate any advice or info you would be willing to pass on. How do I get inline for a PIF knife? Thanks

It's been a while for me. I just ordered my second Opinel. So when I get paid on Friday I will ship a brand new Opinel No. 6 to someone. First dibs to whoever claims it. Hell, I will send two. The first two people to respond.

I would like to claim a stainless steel version on behalf of mjn. He has shown an interest in a stainless one before, but due to my already having had the one I put up claimed he declined me sending a new one afterwards. I think he might respond better to this offer. If you do not mind.

Hey Whet how do we do the gold membership thing? Also i am going to bed here soon have stuff to do tomorrow. So I guess you can email me it or we can do it tomorrow.
 
Welcome Coachw - you really just claim something if you think you would be interested, and then pay something of yours forward. Or at least that is how i have done it, there really are no specific rules. It is mostly about giving, paying something forward just for the good karma. I do it mostly for selfish reasons - it feels good!

Also if you want to pay something forward it doesn't necessarily have to be a knife (although we are all knife nuts, right?). From my faulty memory i can recall: bows, footwear, strops, camping equipment, games, shears, hand made sketchbooks, ammo, sharpening systems, engineering tools, autographed items, all manner of hunting related gear, resume services, gold memberships, the list is endless after 8 of these threads really.

Feel free to take it and keep it if Whet is cool with that. I think he's just checking it out. Don't be stingy with your claims lol. You can't give a bunch and not act on something you like.

I have never owned one. I think they are unique and would like to have a chance to check one out.
