Ok, I may regret this with how busy I am, but I have something I can contribute! I will make someone a set of scales for a knife, not any knife though, sorry to say, it's way to much work for most folders, as in hours that I really don't have, but any "plain" or "simply" constructed knife. I'll post an example of what I mean by plain. (Anything with liners is getting out there guys, I'm talking svord peasant plain, fixed blade with sex bolt handle construction)
I'm also not going to offer this out to just anyone, please if you want to accept, do so having already made at least a few meaningful contributions!!
So like I said, has to be a simple build for me, otherwise I will not accept. Go ahead and reply here, and let me know what knife you would want. I'm only going to do one right now, maybe more in the future though.
I have green linen micarta, brown canvas micarta, and reddish pink/ black home made, and blue black home made micarta.
Hmu we will talk details. Have a great one guys!
The example is my peasant knife, with linen green micarta, and my red black home brew bolsters. I'm probably not going to do anything super fancy, but maybe we could get bolsters in there.

Edit: for the record I can do more advanced scales, I just don't have the time! Peace
Yes you may, and if anyone else want in on this, if or when I do more, or if you want to pay for material ect. Bring it.
But you got it, post me a pick of your knife bro
I'll take it!Me too

My bk9 is in need of some news scales!
I'm not criticizing you, im reinforcing information to hopefully make them think about wether they want it or perphaps let it go to someone with less specialized handles.Well, I suppose it's up to our friends here who showed some interest, if I am truly not skilled enough maybe you are right, but regardless it's a free pay it forward, and I've made some pretty cool stuff, for the record. I have never owned a Becker which is unfortunate for I, but I already stated my limitation with the handle thickness. It's up to their discretion, unfortunately I'm only doing one right now, so I can't make you one to review.
Lol, oh jeez. I guess the Sharpmaker works really well with L6. Well I guess the Svord sold itself huh? Sorry I can't get over that.Someone once told me a knife isn't truly "yours" until you cut yourself with it. I am definitely keeping the Svord RemyKaze sent me, as it really is "mine" now. (Let me know when you see one you like Raindog)

Yeah I actually took the edge off doing a little more centering on the bevel. My bad. Could have made it perfect but I figured you'd rather have it in hand. You're very welcome.RemyKaze.........
Got that steel in today! Thank again brutha! Went ahead n put a decent starter edge on it, now I'm gonna do some cleaning and polishing tomorrow if I get the chance and maybe begin on those g-10 scales![]()
Got the strop in, this thing is sweet. I think I prefer them with no compound now. Thanks a bunch.Great, let me know if you have any questions.
Glad you like it, and the edge! I loved it but I knew it wouldn't get any play with my two faves in the way lol. I'm happy it went to a good home.Remy (and Raindog), knife arrived today, and it will work perfectly! Even though I'm southpaw, since it will be used when camping and outdoor stuff, it still fits the bill perfectly (and did I mention the wicked edge? Love it)
The pivot controls tightness of the blade. The sweet spot for me is being able to open it by reach a single finger up while still holding the knife, and having to apply just enough pressure that it "pops" out.Hey RemyKaze - i received Svord and the Mini Bushlore today, thank you very much! Looking forward to trying them both out.
I have to say i REALLY like this Svord. Can't describe what it is, the simplicity of the design, the handle shape, the steel, the looks of this specific example...... Something about this knife appeals to me very much. I know I said I would pay this forward, but I am not entirely sure I am going to be able to let this one go. Would it be ok with you if I keep this one and offered a new Svord to the thread? Let me know, if not I would be happy to pay this one forward.
Also how do you carry it, just loose in your pocket or is there a trick to it?
FWIW, that svord you did is one sexy knife. If it were a fixed blade it'd be at the top of my awesome listWell, I suppose it's up to our friends here who showed some interest, if I am truly not skilled enough maybe you are right, but regardless it's a free pay it forward, and I've made some pretty cool stuff, for the record. But thanks for the feedback...
If a bk2 isn't to much I would love to claim this. I've paid forward more than I've claimed.

I prefer the slight swell of ESEE handles to the Beckers, prob because of my hand size. Swells relieve hotspots mid hand, but if they aren't a fit for your hand, you will create hotspots at the top and bottom of your grip from having to apply excess pressure to hang on to the handle while using. With 1/4" materials the becker handle palmswell may be hard to recreate, and Im leaning towards wanting to do a traditional rounded scale as is, So don't accept my offer if you will be disappointed with the lack of ergonomics you are currently used to with your knife,
Thanks for clarifying that stvpourciau.
