Remy (and Raindog), knife arrived today, and it will work perfectly! Even though I'm southpaw, since it will be used when camping and outdoor stuff, it still fits the bill perfectly (and did I mention the wicked edge? Love it)

Glad you like it. That thing is crazy thick, isn't it? You could baton through a car with it.

Hey RemyKaze - i received Svord and the Mini Bushlore today, thank you very much! Looking forward to trying them both out.

I have to say i REALLY like this Svord. Can't describe what it is, the simplicity of the design, the handle shape, the steel, the looks of this specific example...... Something about this knife appeals to me very much. I know I said I would pay this forward, but I am not entirely sure I am going to be able to let this one go. Would it be ok with you if I keep this one and offered a new Svord to the thread? Let me know, if not I would be happy to pay this one forward.

Also how do you carry it, just loose in your pocket or is there a trick to it? Not sure other than my opinel I have a single user without a pocket clip.

Hey Whet, you need to keep it if you really like it. I'm probably gonna pick one up anyway, maybe with the wood handle...

RemyKaze.........

Got that steel in today! Thank again brutha! Went ahead n put a decent starter edge on it, now I'm gonna do some cleaning and polishing tomorrow if I get the chance and maybe begin on those g-10 scales :)

Superpaco - You have a Barlow on the way! I hope you don't mind.... I used it a bit yesterday and today. :D It's a handy little knife.

So after that was said and done and I finished up a rough day at work, I had this waiting on me at home:

Thank you, Mr_badexample!

I dont mind in the least. Knives with history are much more better! Thanks again, I'll be harassing my mailperson come Monday!

I just want to give a quick, but huge thank you to lionesser and whetstone again, today I experienced one of the most awesome thing that I've ever had happen to me... Those two went so far above and beyond anything I could have imagined, I'm proud to know them and to be a part of a community with people like them.

I got a gift box today that included a BNIB Rat-2, a like new carbon steel mora companion, a manix2 LW (I just traded a G10 manix 2 to lionesser cause it was to heavy for my liking (an unreleated trade) so I was blown away to get this one which is much more my style, and a Kershaw rainbow chive along with some other stuff, really I'll never be able to say thank you for what you've done for me!

Raindog let me know which one you would like and I will ship it to you. I saw a few at Knifecenter, but if there is a better source or there is one from another site you would like more I'll send ya that one. If it is cool with Remy ;)

Gung Ho, I finally got around to shipping the necker.
Let me know if you'd like the tracking # and I'll email ya.
Enjoy:)

ALLHSS - I'm glad it made it to you safe and sound! I'm really happy it fits and that you like it. It is a pretty beasty watch, but honestly that adds to the appeal of it. The weight and feel of it are just great and scream that it's reliable and will hold up for years to come.

Ranger got his Lanyard in the mail today so I know it made it to him, he isn't able to open it just yet, but I'm happy it made it to him.

Now just to wait for Lobo and Jjoanty to get their lanyards. =]

Mr.BadExample, that Friction folder is soooo tempting, but I want to leave it for someone else to get a chance at picking up something awesome. Really cool PIF.

I'd feel like a hog. :(
That'd be the second thing I picked up in two days, and the third I've picked up so far. :o

Man, you aint kiddin! Part of what as me drooling over the BK2's is the thickness...this one is just as thick! I still want a BK, but this thing has earned a permanent spot in my gear (I'll pass on to the yutes when the time comes).

I have another offering. A Zippo with Dodge emblem, a belt clip to hold the lighter, and a cig tin to store a spent butt if you don't want to throw on the ground (like when camping, etc). The tin and belt clip were never used. It was my kids getting them for xmas in 2004 that led me to quit January 2005 (after 23 years of 1+ pack a day), felt bad that the first thing they associated with me was helping me smoke. I used chantix (was the first thing that worked, and I tried them all). I've held on to them as a reminder, but after all these years, I can feel safe that I'll never go back.

To keep it fair, I'll pick a random submitter tomorrow around noon E.S.T.

I know it's not knife related. I used the money I saved when I quit smoking to get my first "real" knife, a Wustof chef knife, so it can tie in through that :)

What you give doesn't have to be a knife or knife related. So long as it's something someone could use.
I think a Zippo set up qualifies as gear, and is definitely something someone could use. =]

Here is a knife for PIF. It is a Frost Cutlery and I can send it in the box.
I may have carried it a couple of times, but you can tell it isn't a user. I would prefer shipping with the CONUS.

I would like to give it to someone who has been a member long enough to have some posts of substance and has contributed (or will contribute) to the PIF thread.

Someone once told me a knife isn't truly "yours" until you cut yourself with it. I am definitely keeping the Svord RemyKaze sent me, as it really is "mine" now :). (Let me know when you see one you like Raindog)

Whetstone,
What if you cut someone else? What does that mean?

Here is a fixed blade with sheath for PIF

To claim it, you must have contributed (or will contribute) to the PIF thread.

Ouch! Sorry to see spilled blood, but you're right, it really is yours now. And as far as the Svord goes, I'll leave it up to your good judgment. And, at the risk of incurring the wrath of the mods, I wanted to ask if anyone has tried out the Svord necker. I saw it while perusing the Peasant knives, and it looks like a nice alternative to the traditionally seen Izulas and BK11/14s. I assume it's made of L6, and has a nice leather sheath. Just wonderin...
