Ok next up is my giant friction folder. This was an impulse eBay buy a few years back. It's well made, sharp and very big. About an inch thick and about 9 inches open. So make sure this one is legal in your area. Check out the pics.
I don't know the steel type, sorry. This could be used as is or scavenged for parts. There's a lot of meat in the scales that could easily be repurposed should the new owner desire.

To claim it you must have given or give in return. I'd like to see, these threads continue. I'm currently unemployed and these threads have been a godsend for a knife junky like me.
So if you're new you can claim it on the condition you give something. Otherwise claim away. In the event of a discrepancy I retain the right it decide who gets it.

Let's give this one until 5pm pacific time (8pm eastern) before it can be claimed to give the left coast guys a shot. (Thanks for the idea Myke)

Email me through my profile and post in the thread.

Thanks,

Brian

Woody, you just reminded me that I told Lionessor I would give her a status update on the No.8 she sent me from a couple PIF threads back! If you're reading this, I love it! Thank you so much for opening my mind to these humble yet perfectly capable knives :D

Here's a shot of her being used to slice up my daughter's pizza. No mercy haha...

It's not necessarily gone, he said he'll decide in the AM who it goes to. So you might get it yet! As far as the Becker Necker goes, it's yours. Send me a shipping address, and I can get it out tomorrow.

Just waiting on your shipping address raindog!

Opinels rock. If you like using it in the kitchen check out their paring knives. For under $10 you get the same thin cutting laser in fixed blade form. I used my 7&8 for a while in the kitchen but grew tired of cleaning food out of the pivot. The paring knives solved that problem for good. Now the folders only see food duty while camping or hiking.

Thanks for the advice, man. I appreciate it and will definitely look into those paring knives.

I just received my first Opinel, A sweet brand new No 6.

But i dont recall claiming an opinel, or know who to thank for this sweet knife.

But who ever you are mystery person thank you so much for this unexpected gift, I now see why people like these knives so much, they are light, yet still well made efficient slicers.

Thanks again!!

Nice! Is it in Carbone? Here's my Carbone No 6, modded to a a toothpick, burned and BLO'd. Always in the hip pocket of my jeans.

This is a thank you to bladechick777! I got the Casio today and it rocks! I will be wearing it daily. It is literally the first watch in my adult life that has fit comfortably around my wrist. It is also a beast of a thing, which is good cause my ladyfriend recently poked fun at my "wimpy" walmart watch. Thank you again!

Man, that thing is intense.

Hey RemyKaze - i received Svord and the Mini Bushlore today, thank you very much! Looking forward to trying them both out.

I have to say i REALLY like this Svord. Can't describe what it is, the simplicity of the design, the handle shape, the steel, the looks of this specific example...... Something about this knife appeals to me very much. I know I said I would pay this forward, but I am not entirely sure I am going to be able to let this one go. Would it be ok with you if I keep this one and offered a new Svord to the thread? Let me know, if not I would be happy to pay this one forward.

Also how do you carry it, just loose in your pocket or is there a trick to it? Not sure other than my opinel I have a single user without a pocket clip.

As promised but delayed. First off, the awesome little custom bush blade that Raindog sent to me. I really enjoy this thing, but it isn't going to displace my ESEE and BK users, so I want it to go to someone who really enjoys camping and needs a fixed blade. I'd prefer it to be someone who has contributed but hasn't claimed much or anything.

Remy (and Raindog), knife arrived today, and it will work perfectly! Even though I'm southpaw, since it will be used when camping and outdoor stuff, it still fits the bill perfectly (and did I mention the wicked edge? Love it)

Superpaco - You have a Barlow on the way! I hope you don't mind.... I used it a bit yesterday and today. :D It's a handy little knife.

So after that was said and done and I finished up a rough day at work, I had this waiting on me at home:
