Do you guys ever sell a knife then really regret it? Today has sucked I went out in my canoe and dropped my only machete over the side. After 20 minutes of dragging a treble hook trying to hook the sheath I finally gave up. Then on the way home I meet up with a guy I was selling my zero tolerance to.

Anyways I'm gonna put up the jab piggyback that I got from madman44. Just not my style.
Just post here and email open to anyone.

All the time. I was just telling my wife the exact sentiment.

Thanks a lot for the offer. but I'll just save up and buy myself a machete as a Christmas present. I think I was regretting selling it because I was mad at my self for letting my machete go overboard.

Trams are like ten bucks and I've yet to see another machete outperform them.

Friction folder.

Presidio. Above the photo it states that it is custom anodizing. The scales are the originals, just anodized in new colors.

Thank you sir. Next time I will pay more attention!
:D Reading helps, eh? I've done that too many times to count. I had the same guy anodize my Benchmade 940 for me as well in a 2-tone (here it is). It was a bear to do, and I can see why Benchmade hasn't done it on a production knife.

On the list is a Military, Delica, Endura, Rat 2, Zancudo, and Ritter Grip (small or large). Anything else I like is kinda out of price range, and these really do it for me anyway. Too bad I can't get that Cuscadi PM2 lol.
The Military models I'm finding are in the $130-$160 range, and that opens your options immensely. Heck you could get a Benchmade Contego with a CPM-M4 blade (same size as the Military) for around $140. If you like the Ritter Grip, you'd really like the Bone Collector. D2 steel, same size as the Ritter Grip, and full liners with G10 scales instead of the partial liners and Valox/NorlyGTX scales on the Grip. The blade profile is really close to the Ritter Grip as well. Large or small, it's basically a Grip on steroids. Are you thinking smaller knife or large knife?

Ugh I know. Love the Ritter, so so about the handle. But I currently own a PM2 and no Benchmades, so it's a toss up between thay and the Military, which are the most expensive. The others are basically me looking for a small EDC for whenever it is needed. Also, I handled an m390 Barrage and loved it, but couldn't get down with the assist.

You can de-assist the Barrage, I have been thinking about an M390 mini Barrage
I have the 586 mini-Barrage and love it! De-assisting is easy if you're inclined to (don't see the need to, as I can close mine and my 581 one-handed).

Just a little update on the Cryo 2 and Blur I got from the PIF threads :D I made a LBS out of a 380acp shell. Interestingly enough, the LBS on the Cryo 2 is a hair smaller then it is on the original Cryo (the original uses a 9mm).

Thanks again madman44 and loonybin for the knives :D They have both quickly become favorites of mine
Looking good! Like I said, I wish they made a lefty-friendly model of the Cryo2, as I would not have PIF'd it.

Loonybin, I think my sweet spot is the PM, full Grip size range. I love and carry large knives, but they gotta be special and uber light to make it into my EDC, cause I'm trading negative reactions for a longer blade length.

I'll tell you I am a huge fan of the SERE 2000, and my Rat has kinda dulled that craving lol. How much larger is the Bone Collector over the Grip?

Also, Cuscadi has been blowing up my FB with Yojimbo 2 scales and I've really been considering that knife. They also told me that they're going to be working on some tip-up scales for the Military!:D

Remy the bone collector is the same overall size!

Something better would be to get a Ritter grip, sell the scales and get keyman to make you a set of sick handles. His siggie has a link to his work.

It all comes back to the Ritter lol. I had a Ritter mini. Liked it but...I guess I feel I need more knife cause it's easier to open inside of my hand, so logically the full size would be great. I'm so off topic now.

PS I use my mini presidio way more than my grip. Similar blades but the mini-presidio has better handle geometry for me and the blade has a thin blade grind. It's a sick slicer. I'm going to presume the same holds true for the bigger regular Presidio. Keyman can make scales for that one too. They come in at well under a $100.

Have you seen Keyman's work! His examples below.

You can pick up a 3.4" bladed full size griptilian and then customize it.

He's got all sorts of scales going on.

I'd like to give the jab piggyback a try unless someone else needs it more.

I actually don't know. I just asked Mike for a quote for G10, Micarta and Wood. I've always dug that red micarta myself so I asked what he would charge for a griptilian rehandle for those materials as well as a mini presidio just out of curiosity. I might get that done for my 527 down the road! :D Will report back when I get the prices.

What kind of prices are we talking?

Thanks! It was a pain to drill out that LBS without the primer spinning lol Yeah, its a bummer they don't offer lefty versions of their knives :/
