Wow, two replies and the logic already overwhelms me. That and all the Cuscadi scale pr0n for the Yojimbo on FB.

I just received the monster friction folder from Mr.BadExample today and it is awesome!! Thank you so much again. =]
I will have more to post at some point.

Lots of Condor knives, Cold Steel Bushman and Pocket Bushman.

Don't forget the HIGONOKAMI.

Been meaning to order one but I'm so impatient I'm not sure I could stand the wait for it to ship from Japan.

Alright peeps, Yojimbo 2 or Ritter Grip/Mini-Grip?

The Ritter. I had a Yojimbo and while it was a nice knife, it never got carried because when folded it is very wide in your pocket due to the width of the blade. Also you'd think the knife would be excellent for utility but the tip is so fine that I was scared to push it past paper cutting.... Great self defense knife but that's it IMO...that is what it was designed for after all!

If you want something that just looks different, go for the Yo. If you want something that has more use as a utility/general use/camping/edc, then the Ritter Grip. Doug Ritter designed the blade to be good for hard use.

It's weird that they have a couple hard workers, the pm2 and Superleaf, then two fighters, the Szabo and Yojimbo 2, then a kid's knife the Junior. Honestly, I think they should have converted a couple more EDCs to a compression lock version. That's literally half the reason the PM2 sells like hotcakes.

I agree. I just want a reasonably priced edc friendly spyderco with a compression lock that fits my hand.

The Superleaf or PM2 aren't comfortable? The Superleaf is a real beast for a smaller blade, and I've heard it has one of the most comfortable handles.

The pm2 didn't fit my hand. The main cutout area was too small and the raised part before the finger choil dug into my knuckle. I really want to get another and like it, but I doubt I will. I haven't held the super leaf, but it looks like it would be huge in pocket.

Idk the knife in question but if anyone here has never seen the film Yojimbo (the bodyguard) go watch it.

Yes. And watch "Fistful of Dollars" right afterward, for a more Western take on it. The first film appearance of Sergio Leone's "Man with No Name". And while Yojimbo is one of Kurosawa's most iconic films, my personal favorite is one he did much later in his career: Kagemusha. Funny, and touching, it also is an interesting snapshot into the changing Japanese political climate of the time, culminating in the fantastic final scene, a heartwrenching depiction of the famous Battle of Nagashino. And now for some "knife" content:

Def seems like you'd be happy with a Military with a compression lock. I would too. Too bad it doesn't exist.
