Yeah isn't the next one supposed to have a new proprietary lock? But they said they were still researching it.

Yeah. Spyderco must be really working hard on locks. Check out the new "power lock" on the Tatanka model in the new 2014 catalog. Looks awesome.

I told CK that I would put a picture up of the Kershaw Blur that he paid forward to my brother in the army. He did the modifications on it. It looked great!IMAG1488.jpg

Can I pm it to you?

I got it. Thanks. The Tatanka and power lock might be a game changer. Might just make Cold Steel obsolete. :)

Really really love the blacked out Southard. I wanted to try one but I despise two toned framelocks. Having it all the same color makes it one of the very few single color non-assisted flipper framelocks.

Hi everybody,

Please forgive me if I'm in some way out of line, from what I understood of the rules you can not only post stuff you're offering, but also ask for things you really need as well.

I guess this is vague and if it is a form of abuse I don't mean to do it so please forgive me.

I've always wanted a good, larger folder of nice quality that is over $100, though I've never been able to afford one in my daily living. One that has always seemed really nice is a Pohl Force knife, they are high quality larger folders. But I know they're way over $100.

I don't really expect anyone to want to give up a nice, large good quality knife to someone they don't know just because, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks ladies and gents, and again, I don't mean to cause any abuse of this thread if I just did. This seems like a wonderfully charitable idea and it is exciting to me. Thanks.

It looks like the triad right? A member told me it wasn't in that thread, but I don't understand the difference.

Power lock looks cool, the military is supposed to get something called a stop lock which, if rumor rings true, will be nearly impossible to fail.

I can't see the PDF on my iphone so I guess I'll just wait the 3 weeks for a paper catalog but studying the Milli 2 lock patent looks amazing, I don't use my folders too hard so I'm not really concerned with lock failure, what I'm more worried about is accidental disengaugement but that looks pretty impossible with the new "stop lock"!

I didnt dislike the original milli but didnt ever feel compelled to buy one, now the milli 2, IDK how long I'll be able to resist it, is there an expected release date?

A triad lock is a back lock with a stop pin between the lock face and the blade tang

This rotating barrel design is a bit different in that there are separate parts of the lock bar that interact with each other

Stick around, and you may find something. It may not be an expensive folder as you wish, or you may not be the first to claim something expensive if it is offered. In my opinion, one should be just as happy with something like a Rat 1...I know I carry it at least as much as my other folders.

It is IMO slightly bad taste to put a price tag on what you're asking for, but that's not a big deal. However there is sort of an unspoken rule that if you are not contributing to the thread, you can only claim a limited number of items. The reason being that it doesn't help the thread grow. If you're ok with that, feel free to hang around.

If you think of anything you'd like to pay forward, it would be very appreciated.

I clamored for it for a while but I don't think we'll know till everyone knows.

I always found the military a bit too big to carry. But I can attest it is great at carving a pumpkin ;)

I've always used them for a sort of folding kitchen knife.

I'm carrying my Cruwear mili tight now :)
