Given how popular the Rat has been here, what do you favor for $60 and under, if anything? I love the Rat 1, and the Tenacious, and the Cold Steel American Lawman. And am gaining a great appreciation for the Svord Peasant and the Opinel. Anything else in that range that compares?
The Bone Collector and the Grip are the same size.Loonybin, I think my sweet spot is the PM, full Grip size range. I love and carry large knives, but they gotta be special and uber light to make it into my EDC, cause I'm trading negative reactions for a longer blade length.
I'll tell you I am a huge fan of the SERE 2000, and my Rat has kinda dulled that craving lol. How much larger is the Bone Collector over the Grip?

If you like the 3.4 - 3.6" blade range (the Grip, BC, Presidio, PM, etc.), then look at the 950 Rift It's the smaller brother of the Contego and a very sturdy knife.
As for this thread, I have a couple more things to offer, but this is the middle of the rut, so my free time is spent getting ready to hunt. I'll put something up on Sunday... or earlier if I'm lucky tagging a deer on Friday.

Sounds like my kabar lhb that went to nyoutdoors, it'll be awhile before I Can get it out though. But what I personally like about this thread isn't the rare big ticket items (though they're more than generous and definitely generate a lot of excitement) but the general spirit of "hey I got this thing it's valuable for use, maybe not a collector piece but I'm sure someone would get a kick out of it and I honestly don't need it" lol. That was a mouthful. Lol. Anyways that's what I saw in the beginning and it'd be good to see it again.
Alright peeps, Yojimbo 2 or Ritter Grip/Mini-Grip?
