I have to say this PIF Thread is looking pretty good. Over 200 posts in less than 24 hours. And a good bit of new folks getting active.

Gentlemen, please listen up! The last couple of pages have been overrun with deal spotting. To put it simply, we do not allow links or references to dealers who are not paid Bladeforums Dealer members.

Check out the FAQ and the rules for the Exchange. They are straightforward and easy to understand. Of course there's a lot to learn, but start now!

You are not allowed to direct sales to a source which is not a paid Bladeforums dealer. eBay is not on the list. Walmart is not on the list.
Current list is at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...aler-Members-********?p=12633453#post12633453

Auction / Deal / Bargain Spotting

This is a variation of the "no spam" rules that we have. We know you found a great deal on a Ninja Death Tool 3000 - we don't care.
If that dealer wants to advertise on BladeForums.com, encourage them to purchase a Dealer membership here instead of giving them free advertising.
Dang! I leave for a couple hours and you kids are writing on the walls with crayons and causing all sorts of trouble.:p

Just putting it out there again - I'm PIFing Portfolio Reviews for anyone who makes art, looking to go to art school or who has a kid who makes art and may be looking to go to art school. I do admissions reviews for an art school in New York and feel I can offer constructive advice on tailoring a portfolio for getting into a good art school. If anyone's interested just shoot me an email. all best.

I aim to misbehave.

You know, I think this would be a good time to pay a Kershaw Volt II forward. It's the stainless steel version.

Post a picture of something you've whittled (not a pointy stick, but an egg works just fine) to claim it. It's dull, and I never bothered to sharpen it. I took it apart twice, once to take out the assisted opening, the second to put it back in because the knife doesn't really work without it.

I'll post pictures here sometime soon.

Whet I got the A.G. Russell and it is awesome! The only problem is that now I am hooked on A.G. Russell. :D
Thanks a bunch, Jake

I shipped the Chive today...sorry for the delay. I have been really busy, and today was my first chance.

I hope you enjoy it, and post a picture once you receive it. :)

Hey its a gift from you, so no rush, I am looking forward to it.
My only other knife now is a ZT 0561 which im happy to say has been a perfect specimen, and has handled some knarly work. This chive will be the mini public user that goes with it. Whoo hoo.

That Volt is going to make somebody happy, I hope its someone that has much lesser knives at the moment. Somebody with only a gerber out there, snag that thing. ;)

I whittled this totem a few months ago:

THIS IS NOT A CLIAM!

0561 : Chive = electron : planet

I think you will be surprised how small the Chive is--I know I was. But it is a very popular model, and I hope you enjoy it.

P.S. If you want to PIF with that 0561...:o:D

I probably would but I'm no whittler (though it would be nice if I was). Not even of sharp sticks.

I'd say give it a shot. And egg isn't hard to whittle, just takes a little time. Look up a tutorial online or something, I'm sure you can find one.

That is why I want it polar opposites.
What variation is it, color

I don't have any pic's hosted (and I wouldn't claim it if I did) but several months ago I got into whittling chains, my longest so far is 7 links. If your just starting out whittling I recommend using zest brand barsoap!

I know I was, its ladybug size if that helps any. My wife keeps her rainbow chive on her keychain, that's how small it is but a great knife and the A/O is STRONG!
