That one sounds cool, but someone offered me some opinels. I'm trying to pm him, but it won't let me. So technically it's still pending.
I'm sure some one will snag up that cool tactical folder.
Once this one goes through for me I'll be listing something for someone else. The spirit of the thread is very cool. But I have to admit I've been very apprehensive about claiming anything because of the policing in the previous threads, and everyone grabbing anything interesting before anyone could get to it. I'm glad this one is much better. I can understand that some may be irritated with the chatter, but it's good and is helping stuff find a new home. I'm glad it's been productive.

I'd love to get that folder as my dad's birthday is at the end of the month; he could definitely use a solid folder like that...

The only thing I've taken so far was a generous gift from NikkiR for my father. This thread is perfect for me because I love to give way more than get and I just don't have the money to do that. My brother in law just started carrying a knife. Sadly, its one of those $2 flea market specials. This one is a liner lock and an accident waiting to happen. I've been wanting to give him a solid tactical folder,I think I can make a knife nut out of him yet. I would like to be considered for this as well.
As for something funny I will share a little story: A few weeks ago my uncle came into town to help my father put in a wood stove. He's been getting into prepping and general preparedness. Let me say right here that my uncle is a brilliant man and I have always respected his opinions ( until now....lol). We started talking about having a good fixed blade knife always on or near us. We agreed that it should be full tang and able to withstand anything you could throw at it. At this point I run out to my cat and grab my knife choice for this criteria......my Becker BK2. I don't like it for a bushcraft blade but it's size and strength makes it good for any task in any environment ( especially urban where I spend most of my time). He takes my knife, examines it and gives it that " it's not bad" look. He runs up to my dad's guest room to get his. While I'm waiting, I'm wondering what it could be that would make him think so poorly of my bk2. He always has nice things. ( like tools and electronics). He doesn't have much money but he researches while he saves and makes worthy investments. He comes walking back down and sets his knife down next to mine with a sort of " beat that" look on his face ( kinda like in euchre when someone throws down the right bower, knowing it can't be beat). And sitting there next to my bk2 was his Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate (with serrations). It took all I had not to busy up laughing. I picked it up handled it as he told me about all the things it could do ( as if I didn't know anything about knives). I was half tempted to grab a small log and baton my knife right through his but he was just so proud of it and I didn't have the heart. I just hope he never truly gets into a situation where he actually has to trust his life with it. I would have given him my bk2 if he would have taken it but he truly thought he found the " ultimate" knife.

I would love to have the folder! Please don't make me cry on your shoulder. I am not a soldier, but I think this knife could very well be my four leaf clover.

Tactical knives I definitely do lack, the style they call "tacticool black", Cut me some slack, don't give me any flack, send me that smack!!

lol? Any good? ps: i have taken in PIF, just wanted to participate, so disqualify me if you need to! Though I definitely love tactical knives...and I have much more to give in this thread!

I already figured out it's a HEST/F by the time you mentioned the green G-10 scale Nevermind, wrong guess :p

What the hell, I'll try for it. I only own one hard-use folder because I'm past my "hard use tactical folder omg black coated blades" phase, but I still see the value in them.
If this knife ends up kicking my current one out of its role, y'all can expect to see my current one on this thread.

This blade is not coated either....

I just stropped it and it is SHARP!!! :eek:

I did a Google search of some keywords, and the majority of the results were Hinderers. I'm going to bank on the 0.0000000000000000000000001% chance that it's a Hinderer.

But as of now, I admit defeat for trying to guess what it is. That "best" clue is gonna kill me until I find out :p

Fun fact, searching for "green flipper" gets you lots of pictures of dolphins...huh.

Currently: Minnesota - Twin Cities. But I go to school in Madison. That's why I left my location a bit vague. Why do you ask?

I'd like to try that unless someone else needs it more. I carry an RR canoe regularly but don't have a lockback one.

To stay ahead in karma points, anyone want a CAMCO assisted opener with a sheepsfoot blade?
