Bad Pazazuzu, aka Miguel Castro Jr, do not deal with, forced to seek refund viaPayPal for intent. scam

He clearly does not understand how this things work. Can you provide evidence that he said he thought it was a fake? Knowing this will help fellow other members decide if he is worthy of doing business with in the future.
Hopefully if a mod has this information that he admitted he thought it was a fake he’s banned so this BS dosent happen agian

Nope. He should file a claim immediately and send it back to you. If he sends it to zt he will not get it back and will not be able to file a claim.

I think you will find that on this forum the seller is responsible to know the goods they are selling are legit. Paypal will see it the same way. Further, your willingness to pass on a fake elsewhere is more than troubling. You are going to make a bunch of do not deal with lists just based on that alone, justifiably so.
Op DO NOT SEND THIS TO ZT! They will not send a fake back to you and as craytab said you’ll be out start a claim against the seller and go from there. You don’t have to pay for his misfortune which it seems he wants to you to do
I spoke with someone high up at ZT who told me if I sent it attention to him, he would verify the item for official documentation, however I have heard that this would be confiscated regardless and now I'm sketched out to send it in. What sealed it for me is the email I received from an executive there with his personal belief it is a fake, and the thread in these very forums showing the same knife and serial number on an example of a clone. I attempted several avenues of coming to an agreement on recompense, and have done what I can to avoid a thread like this, but its been to no avail. I am worried a PayPal claim maybe go bad because of sellers avoidance of possible return. If I send it to ZT, they will most likely keep it, if his return of my funds is hinged on my sending it in to ZT, to get results that are pretty obvious, then I may be out the knife for any PayPal claim. I would just like my money back on an item that is considered questionable by even the seller and a clone by an executive at the genuine knife manufacturer.

Do not send it to ZT. PayPal WILL side with you if you call and calmly and politely explain the situation. Especially your worries about him not accepting the return. I had the exact same thing happen to me and the seller acted almost identically. If he refuses to follow PayPal rules and accept the return, they will lock his account down, take the money from his bank account and tell you to keep the knife. He will then be barred from PayPal. That is exactly what happened in my situation. Do not send it to ZT.......and stick it to this seller....HARD. What a tool.

Yes DO NOT SEND IT TO ZT ... contact PayPal and file a claim right away save and show them all documentaion included a link to this thread ... if you used Goods & Services you should end up with your refund ... followPayPals directions whatever they recommend and they will back the buyer if theres any chance of foul play. And just from what I've seen here ... it qualifies already.

you have a email from a person at ZT saying it was a fake I would use that as enough proof. But I would not send it to them I’m sure the seller is banking on you sending it to zt so you don’t have physical proof of the item.

The moderators have a record of this. Saying that he wasn't completely sold it was a fake also means you're not completely sold on its authenticity as well. You either know its real or not before you sell something, and if there is an accidental selling of a counterfeit then the seller should want to rectify the situation. As a seller myself, I want to be sure that my items are 100% legit, with a great many knives and items sold on Instagram, facebook, here, and eBay (all authentic), and should I have made a mistake, I would refund and work it out on my end.

This is my concern as well. ZT is notorious for keeping clones upon verification and destroying them without any warning to the owner, save an email stating the item was counterfeit after the fact. The thread showing the clone, the email, and many fellow collectors opinions on a ZT fan page with over 9000 members of ZT lovers was evidence enough for me to believe it is fake. I believe he knows that if I send it in, it will be destroyed and he wont refund.

All I have asked for is an honest refund, and I would gladly work out with him something that would not place undue hardship on him financially as he had stated a full refund would, I have record of that. This thread and (possibly) a PayPal claim are the last methods of recompense I had hoped to use. I'm not a jerk and I had hoped we could work it out. I will most definitely pursue this to the end, as I feel now I have been ripped off. A simple return and refund could avoid this.

It's great that any member would try to work any issues out with the other party of the transaction ... that's how it should be ...

but by the attitude this seller has displayed already ... I wouldn't waste my time trying to get any resolution from him as he's stated it's now "your problem" ... so the best way to solve your problem is file a claim let PayPal get your refund as is their policy ... and share all pertinent communications with PayPal and the mods here so this seller has no opportunity to do this to anyone else.

Hey man it’s great that you are willing to work a way you don’t break his bank. No one here thinks you are a jerk from the response here you can see that. But don’t be to nice because his rebuttal he posted shows he knew what he was doing got caught and now is in defense mode. You take care of you 1st because belive me he’s thinking of a way to take care of himself 1st. You owe this guy nothing he owes you plain and simple. Just by his response he knew what he was doing and wants you to eat his mistake.

If it’s a clone, then the seller is totally irresponsible. Only a selfish and lazy person would take the risk of passing along a clone to a fellow knife enthusiast.

Absolutely. You get it.

Gather all your email and links evidence and give paypal call tomorrow.

Thank you for all the support on this, I completely agree with you 100%, and I'm not going to try and reason out some kind of deal any further. At this point, I feel like I have spit in my face, and that hes trying to make me eat a fake knife. I just want the seller to refund, which he stated he won't do, so we go the PayPal route unfortunately.

I think many here appreciate your trying to work out a refund plan, but based on the sellers actions the only way to make certain you get all you money back is with a paypal claim. I wouldn't worry to much about creating a hardship for him as he had NO PROBLEM dumping a possible clone on you.

The moderators have asked I give it until this time tomorrow for resolution, and if not, then file a claim. I am collecting all of my evidence and documenting everything for I feel the eventual claim. Thank you very much for the support and insight on this, I tried to avoid any problems, but at some point I have to be made whole. I will have everything ready!
