i believe he got those from a seller off the bay. i almost pulled the trigger on some camo from same seller, but didn't. looks pretty nice though.

yep got them off duhbay they are pretty nice he does twenners and uses g10 from time too time too these are micarta!

I have a few more, but posting from a phone is a pain. Tomorrow.

Looks like a sweet setup bud!!!

Get an SOE belt. Holy sweet baby Jesus it is one hell of a belt! You know how when you take off your pants at night they just kind of collapse under the weight of everything? The SOE belt doesn't. It will keep the pants looking like someone is in them!

Them look like some sweet belts, but the question is does the buckle protrude under a shirt or lay flat? Hard to tell how thick they are, and being skinny makes a big buckle or bulge look obvious under a shirt. But i never had any issues with leather belts or those d ring belts... But i still hate those d ring belts though for many other reasons LOL

The thing about the spec-ops belt is it isnt really a problem with the buckle as much as the webbing i think, the webbing folds around the buckle and i think thats really what makes it stick out so much. The buckle itself is only .45" at the thickest spot.

So, I know I haven't spoken much of my self employment saga on here lately. Truth is, kinda enjoy just shootin the shit with you guys and really don't come here as far as business is concerned. But, just bought a plasma cutter for the subcontracting work I do today. This thing is badass. Cost me out the ass, but cuts 3/4in. plate. I'm sure I can figure out a killer application for knife making for it. Lol,. And its tax deductible. :D

Thats awesome man, i have watched some videos of plasma cutters in action.. Cool stuff!!

Also i have been trying to reply to your PM for a while, but i keep getting the "this webpage is not available" screen every time i hit send.

But short answer, just let me know what colors you want from the drop down menus and send me an address!! They are at a tournament so orders will not ship out until August 5th from what i read on the site. But ill still order it Friday. Take your time on your end!! I really appreciate it bud and will throw in some ammo too, feel free to pick the size you would like of that as well!!

I don't take any ap classes

It's not because they're too hard or anything like that, it's just that I absolutely hate homework. Hell, if I actually did any of my homework last year I could have gotten all A's. I chose to go hang out with friends every day instead :foot:

Same here, the work itself is no problem but I'm a firm believer that once the clock strikes 4:00 school Is done till tomorrow, hell the only reason I'm taking AP classes this year is 1. To get my GPA up and 2. The teacher that does AP English 3 is the best teacher at my HS IMO

Hmmm, WW, for some reason, I cant send you anything either....... anyway, if your cool with the deal, i couldn't be happier, I have been shooting 1/4in. ball, and I'm partial to this color combo.

I think I have my daughter convinced that school isn't out until she graduates from med school.:D

tfields - sweet looking micarta! I'd like to get a set like that for myself. Maybe for my birthday....

DM - nice hammock but your 100% right about the mosquito netting. I hope you get it set up the way you want soon.

Dexwithers - Gone Green! Good for you bud. I hope I can get back on top soon so I can do a little business with you.

good to know I was thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these the other day. Moose talks very highly of the KME system. I wonder though how it compares with a lansky.

Do it. But don't be like me and think you know enough to just start using it without reading the instructions. Figuring out your edge angle and getting set up is pretty straight forward but I couldn't get the dang knives sharp. They have a very specific process for sharpening and if you follow it closely it works like a champ. Otherwise you'll never get a good edge on your blade. As soon as I read the booklet I was cranking out hair popping edges like a boss.

I brought my 4 Opinel knives with me to work because the tips weren't fully ground and were really dull and needed re-profiling, which is not uncommon for them. Anyway, I focused on the tip areas and when I got that part where it needed to be I went ahead with the step-by-step process and they all shave hair well enough. My Hornet is a wicked little bugger now too.

Dang. Maybe I outta come over some time and whip up some bumpers for my K5. :D

I know what you mean. I somehow managed to pull a 4.15 gpa last year because of an "advanced" gym class. Doing good on finals also helped.

Might be a hell of a commute for ya, but I now have 2 drill presses, 2 mig welders, a lathe, a mill ,3 air compressors 2 sand blast cabinets, 2 band saws, a heat treat oven, and a rockwell tester, a 45 ton iron worker and a plasma cutter......heres the clincher. As far as knife making goes. None of that really amounts to shit, other than the oven and rockwell tester. 90% of a knife is made on a belt grinder. Of which I have 2 but there are the low end as far as belt grinders go. Looking at new ones, but damn, 3k for what I want.

I'm no stranger to long drives. In 8 hours I'm driving 1200 miles to Oregon to visit family. Based on the last two times I've done it, I should be just a little ways east of Boise, ID this time tomorrow.

Dang, if I had access to that stuff (and knew how to use it) I could build me one hell of a truck. Shorten a crew cab and set it on 49"s with 4-linked rockwell 5 tons and an exocage.

Pretty good night at work so far. Just listening to Johnny Cash and watching the lighteneing of a storm in the distance. What are you up to Bighoss?

Surfing the net watching YT vids and waiting for my shift to be over. As soon as it is I'm hitting the road for Oregon. Probably take me about 24 hours to drive up there since I haven't slept so I'll have to pull over for naps a lot.

Good luck and be safe on the road. I know how it is when you get so focused on getting there that you can forget to give yourself the rest you need. I hope you have a great time and take lots of pics. That's some beautiful country up that way.

I've made the drive twice before so it shouldn't be a problem. My uncle has a house literally at the base of the Elkhorn mountains outside Haines, OR and both him and my dad have some 4wheelers so it should be a fun time.

I think I'm going to sell some knives this weekend. I gotta get my gold back plus my wife and daughter are going on vacation soon. I'd like to give them some extra spending money and dusty knives aren't nearly as important as a happy wife and daughter.

Some really cool saws in this video.

I've got a Silky Big Boy 2000 and that thing is a MONSTER. It's so efficient that I've stopped bringing a chainsaw for much of our trail building work. All the Silkys cut extremely fast.
