Wait a minute. You said to "Name them", so I did. Model numbers just define attitudes and attributes. Therefore, I, as the initial namer, not those other wanna-be numberers, automatically win. :D:D

i like peanut butter but the real peanut butter "nuts" in my household are my wife and daughter. When my wife was prego she used to crave poptarts with pb smeared on top. Many times they both will be sitting watching tv, each with a spoon full of half pb and half nutella. Seems like they would fit in with the lot of you. lol

anyone doing anything exciting this weekend?
Went swimming yesterday, today in Springfield, tomorrow back in St. Louis, Sunday I'm packing and getting $#!+ ready for GLIB. I leave on Wednesday. Also gotta check out my new knife that is at home waiting for me.

Thats funny Trade. That was my ex's nickname.....
Spelled differently I'm sure.

I'll go with

No Jessica?

Looks neat. somebody modded a BK7 that I really liked. Ground the ramp, took down the guard nub between the handle and blade, and softened the transition from spine to clip. I'm going to do that to both my 7 and 10. I might add a finger choil to the 7, not sure yet. Then I'mm gonna put a nice sharp 90 degree spine on both.

Here it is. Post #83 by Hawkhead. Thing of beauty. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...cker-(pics)/page3?highlight=TKC+custom+scales

Thanks! That one HH did is surely a thing of beauty, and is in the back of my mind as I'm drawing - as is my Gerber LHR. I'm thinking more "fighter" than "combat".....although I maintain that I am a lover, not a fighter.

Mike that looks AWESOME bud!!

Thanks! I may even start grinding some time in the next decade. Hopefully even sooner.

The oldest person on the forum award, that's what. Holy hell, zyzz, what century were you born in? Hortense? It's so old testament that spell-check doesn't recognize it. Plus I heard the last girl with that name kicked the pulp outta anybody addressing her by her nickname......

......Hor ;).

In on Saturday morning because I'm so tired I can't think of anything else to say. Took me a while but I got caught up on the new snark thread.

Got get me some peanut butter flavored vodka! :D
Nut liquor! That's awesome!!!

Just had to share a photo of my little man who is Deaf enjoying some Bluegrass music last night around a bonfire. Love me some Kentucky summer nights!

There was this story in the news here in Belgium the other day about an American kid that was about to become 6 who was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in February. No chance of surgery or chemo.
For his birthday he didn't ask for any presents or anything, he just liked birthday cards. He could read and he's always thrilled if he saw his name somewhere. So two days ago we made a family evening of it. Writing two birthday cards for him, deciding what to write and so on. It was fun and I hope he'll like his postcards from Belgium.

Jarod, that is one of the coolest picture ever. I love how his hands is on the guitar and mandolin feeling the vibrations (plus I love bluegrass and whoever those two dudes are jamming look like they are having a blast). Your son reminds me of Beethoven.

Well said, and I totally agree. Among my all time favorite pictures. Thanks.

It was so cool, and I'm learning more about Deafness and Deaf culture everyday. Many Deaf people love music, I play guitar but it never crossed my mind to play for Toby. My 3 year old loves when I play. The guy playing guitar had actually played at a Deaf camp at Aldersgate here in KY. He knelt down and put Toby's hand on the guitar, Toby had never felt a guitar being played. He stood that way for nearly five minutes, for a 18 month old that's a long time to stand still. lol. It blows my mind just the amount I am learning daily from my 18 month old son. Thanks for the comments guys!

Outdoors, my wife and I talked last night about different Deaf musicians, Beethoven being one. The shirt Toby is wearing is actually from a Deaf hip-hop artist. I don't care much for hip-hop, but for that kid to reach his dream despite the obstacles he's overcome, that I'll support everyday.

Hey guys who was it that used to do the gorgeous custom file knives? I cant remember for the life of me back that far. I just remember the checkers on the side and that they were absolutely gorgeous.

Nah... Never did like Jessicas. They're all loonies, or mixed up with loonies.

 This.

I must have missed this part of English class... I've heard of "past tense," "present tense," and "future tense," but never "hor tense." Maybe it does have something to do with the oldest occupation...

First time I've had a twist off break like that with a regular bottle opener. Also, this is what I was drinking. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/402/114108/
Don't know why dominion uses twist off caps, but there are a decent brewery.

I was JK. I had a Shipyard Summer last night at my folk's house and it had a twist off, too - which I opened with my Skeletool. No breakage. When I used to brew, I never saved the twistys for bottling. Too brittle to reuse. Plus, I was so tired of sterilizing bottles that I scoured and scavenged (and purchased and drank) a couple cases of 22 oz. bottles. Less washing, less bottling, and the beer ended up in more appropriately sized containers for single serve ;).
I'm sorry your beer broke. That's a major bummer.

Jarod: that is an awesome picture of your son. A couple decades ago, there was a young man on the swim team I coached who was deaf. Before races, he could be found (quite easily) with headphones on "listening" to music. Anything with a powerful bass track cranked up so his head would vibrate.
I know very little about deaf culture, but RIT in Rochester, NY (where I grew up) is a National Technical Institute for the Deaf as well as a great college for the non-deaf. I saw the Star Wars trilogy there with a mixed (deaf and not) audience; interpreters on either side of the screen and pumped up bass frequencies that could liquefy your insides. And nobody shushing anybody.

That is a cryin' shame! There should be a law requiring more diversity in bread...

We just got enough signatures on the petition to get a ballot referundum on allowing grocery stores to sell wine as well as beer... one thing at a time. ;)

Sounds like the perfect excuse for buying a bread making machine and experimenting with interwebz rye bread recipes.

That would make sense, but I already have plenty projects going on. Not enough time in the day... maybe next winter I'll get into that.

The lag is horrendous on my end.

Reminds me of my ex. Oh wait, you said "lag"... never mind.

Well, I just stole a 12-pack of beer from Small Fart. It was on the bottom of the cart underneath a plastic tub, and I forgot to pay for it.

Many years ago I was unloading groceries from the car for my then-GF. I found a box of a half-dozen fresh lobsters and said, "WTF, woman?!?!? We can't afford this!"

Turns out the poor schmuck before us had it on the bottom shelf of their cart, the car-loader-upper guys had missed it, and when we came around to get ours it ended up in our trunk.

My GF called the store and brought them back. They gave her a free gallon of ice cream for her trouble
