Peter demmer of terrier blades buyer beware

I looked up terrier blades on facebook and it appears someone named carol Thornton also had her project cancelled and deposit kept.

If you Google peter demmer this thread is now on the front page.

Even if OP was a pain in the butt, peter could just say "I'm going to make what we agreed upon or the order will be cancelled". Then he puts the ball in OPs court. The maker got frustrated with someone who was very excited about their first custom, and he cancelled the original deal. As such I think the maker owes OP his deposit back.

This is a lot of bad publicity for Peter, and I feel returning the deposit is worth this thread concluding on a positive note.

As it stands OP is at least the second person he's done this too and it leads me to believe the maker has a short temper, and I probably wouldn't trust him with a deposit.

noob93, stop embarrassing yourself. What Greykilt wrote was wrong. But by answering the way you did, you defined yourself as immature. You aren't pretty sure of anything about him, you're just mouthing off. You can puff yourself up and challenge him because you aren't going to have to back up your comic book bravado.

There's too much of that kind of talk around here. It is meaningless. Take it to Whine & Cheese, not the serious discussion forums.

While we're on the subject of W&C, Greykilt, you owe noob93 an apology. That insult did not belong in FEEDBACK, either.

Anyone with advice for Peter Demmer might need to find a better way to deliver it. He doesn't seem to follow Bladeforums. It makes for a one-sided conversation.

Okay so I was immature for calling his bs on calling me a sex offender? I would say we have different opinions on maturity. You saying I'll never have to back it up is probable but not impossible. In any case I don't take kindly to being called a sex offender I'm sure some people will understand.

No Sir, not today. My permanent infraction will need to suffice for the time being. The OP was allowed to create a thread in the complaint subforum of the Exchange about a non member and offer nothing more than an unsubstantiated back story that we all just take at face value. Mr. Demmer makes and sales knives and there's been multiple posts calling him dishonest, deceptive, and a thief. None of that proven. Has anyone one here in this thread seen even one shred of a contract between the op and Mr. Demmer? Anything at all ???
But because of the extreme nature of my insult a moderator demanded proof. So be it. I have been properly dealt with for my audacity something I will have to carry with me for eternity now.
And yet interfering with a man's livelihood by publicly demeaning his business name and his personal name without any proof whatsoever is considered just fine. You have to be registered to post here but not read what is posted here. And that' is just wrong on so many levels.

This is gonna be my last post as this is spiralling. Mr demmer already admitted he scrapped our contract with no refund. It can be found in the first couple pages of this thread.

The deposit should have been refunded. It's silly not to take a small hit and avoid all this. He had a blank...finish and sell it. Difficult customers come with the territory. The fact that this maker admittedly keeps deposits if the deal goes south is something I would want to know. I'm not faulting the maker for bailing on this customer but don't agree with money being kept.

How do you know anyone has interfered with this maker's livelihood? You don't so hop of your high horse.

The community is certainly a lot more informed about this maker's business practices whether they agree or disagree with how this was handled. Any makers reading this thread are also now aware of a potentially difficult customer and can make a more informed decision should they be contacted. Feedback thread success from where I'm sitting.

Closed.....
