L les warren Can we get screenshots of the entire conversation, some parts seem to be missing? This timeline doesnt make sense. You said he has had the knife for 10 days, but your copy and paste shows hes had it for 4. Ive bought knives from people that took longer than 4 days to box up and send out. Im not saying its good practice, but it happens. Also, based on your copy and paste, the deal was always upon inspection. Meaning hes not agreeing to anything until he receives the knife. This needs some definite clarification. PhillyJeff Id also like to see a screenshot of the 30 calls if possible, because id be pretty pissed too if that happened.

as far as a utx-85, just a std model.
i would prefer
d/e , od green , blk hardware/blade , elmax (would match my ut)

i like all the blade shapes except spartan?

please no "thumbs of steel" version

its gonna be a edc user. not concern with dents, dings, scratches or scrapes but i wouldnt like irresponsible sharpening or blade damage

a good working knife that skidded across the gravel parking lot when you left it on the bumper would be fine by me

Cypher arrived and it looks great. I can’t find any marks. I think your original post said there was one but hard to find. Where is it?
It’s much larger in the hand than I expected.

On a different topic, while it is an amazing knife. I’m just not sure it’s worth to me both the Stich AND the 85. Together, those have a retail value of $700 while the Cypher (granted, it’s very hard to find if at all) is $475-$500. That’s a $200 difference. So, I can do the deal if you add, let’s say $175… or is there another piece you can add?

Otherwise, I can do the 85 and $175 or the Stitch straight up.

What do you want to do or do you have other ideas?

you agree the knife is as described and can't see any flaws
you now have my knife as hostage.
if you do not plan to honor the deal you brokered then please return my knife

the deal was always upon inspection.

i believe a fair value for my knife is $600. i can justify that with recent listings of user cyphers selling quickly for $450-$500 in fb groups and here. Those were smooth body (if that makes a difference). i remember an extremely beat one listed @ $375
i think i saw a grey mk7 user posted in the last week for $475? somewhere, maybe that is the one you are looking for.

i think you would agree this knife is in mint condition

i see bnib stitch posted $325-$450 (just searched "stitch" on bf) and user utx-85's $160-$225 . i haven't' seen / evaluated your trade, but i expect they are at the top of these ranges.

before you devalue this cypher, you may want to re-examine where you are putting the values of your knives.

no pressure , either way , my feelings won't be hurt.

i would rather you walk away from this deal than feel you have been slighted.

Oh I am and if you try to say anything to the contrary in this forum or anywhere else, I will slap you with a libel suit faster than you can imagine.

I was going through with the deal. You just had to act, well, like the way you did… a spoiled and entitled child. You will get your tracking number tomorrow and we will never speak again. I had a family emergency with my daughters today so I didn’t get a chance to ship it. Yet, I told you I’d still get it to you on the same day that I referenced. I am a man of my word. I doubt you even know what that really means. And if you can’t accept that my daughters are more important than any knife, you have a lot of character building to do.
