Can't wait to get one

any pics of the sheath it's gonna come with? I think I'm in the minority, but I've always preferred the one that came with the 2000.

It's going to be a leather sheath with an over-the-top snap flap.

Found this guy's field test video but no price info yet.

It is made from stainless steel. blade is 3,2mm (0.13'') thick, 109 mm long and the knife has 229mm in overall length.

That one is awesome compared to the regular mora sheath IMHO>:cool:

Looks really nice, but I predict it will be relatively expensive and I can't imagine it doing anything any better than the Scandi type knives I already have, including the 2000. Shrug

Really hope they can keep the price down on these, that's a big part of what makes Mora's so great.

Looks half way decent.

But Mora is working their way into a segment with lot of competition.

Maybe theyd be better off sticking to what they know; uninspired, but reliable cheapo knives, that loads of folks rely on.

To quote Al Pacino-"Just when i thought i was out...they pull me back in."
Must.Resist.Already.Have.A.Bazillion.Moras.
Who am i kidding...i'll be buying one,lol.

thanks! I'll definitely buy one. I like everything about it so far

So, I agree that price will be the big question mark here.

If this is in the $20-35 range, it will be a hot seller, for good reason. I see it mostly as a competitor to the Condor Bushlore and their other ~4in offerings.

If its in the $35-50 range I see it being a decent recommendation, but for specific use cases/requests.

If its $50-70, I'll completely ignore it, because in the same size/quality range there are many"better" options.

Based on the video I saw linked above, I'm glad to see that Dave was involved with the development and testing. However, his comments and the photos make me guess that this is going to cost somewhere north of what the Bushcraft black does. The street price on the Bushcraft black is ~$60 right now, which means sadly I probably won't be buying this one anytime soon :/.

Its a cool development though.

I'd be fine with it having a Kydex or even plastic sheath. As someone said above a Mora 2000 style sheath would be perfectly acceptable.
