just black bears around here and they're fraidy cats. It's the cats, and for them you're better off with a knife
Really?
Honestly just curious. Have hiked in areas with cats, but my only sighting was as a child when we noticed one briefly following us at a distance (well, a few leaps and bounds for him/her). But it let off after being spotted.

Ha! I’d probably get knocked out if I tried firing that thing with the scope to my eye...
Admit to having very little experience with guns.

There's a lot of eye relief on those pistol scopes C, so it would be fired at arms length. That's a 445 SuperMag so no way do you want your head close to that scope. It kicked like a mule. I sold it to my brother in law ;) :D

I like the look of that 7-shooter Tom!

I agree Gus, I was serious about the Revolvers, I have autos, but no Revolvers:mad: I need to remedy that ASAP!

I got a 6" GP100 a while back, and I love it. They're great guns, built like a bank vault. I think the 4" is more practical for self defense. I would really like to get one of those seven shot with a 4" barrel.

Yeah, I thought about that (how it would be held) just after posting... o_O

I would consider myself lucky to have ever spotted a mountain lion. I have spent a lot of time around mountain lions, and I have never actually seen one in the wild.

And I know I have been close to them. Take this shot of me for example at 11:24 8/22/15

And then six minutes later this hungry looking fella follows me.
