I feel great about it! It is very satisfying to see the wood come from a block to a shape desired in one’s mind.

You should try mounting the DCC clip in the back, and higher up. It works well for ISP carry. In the front pocket.

Correct. A Lee Reeves Nessmuk style hatchet. Pairs well with the Field Knife as part of a "modern" nessmuk combo.

I think it's particularly illustrative to see the FK2 next to the DEK1. While close in size, you can see that they are really quite different knives in design (and of course, the FK2 has significantly thicker blade stock as well).

God, I love my FK2 for it’s intended purposes! That being said, since becoming a CPK loyalist, the DEK is my next. I have many knives for the things I love and do, but seeing them side by side seals the deal. I will keep my FK2 and match it with a DEK1, then rest, for a very, very short while.
