And those rare micarta and rubber inlay scales are still one of my absolute favorites.
This is my first blade that I got to use them. They have quickly became my favorite for choppers. I typically use the forward lanyard hole on the choppers but the rubber on these lock into your hand so well, that I forego it. Plus they do help a lot with the impact/shock absorption.

Exactly, and while I tend to be function over form, the contrast of the black rubber and natural micarta is simply stunning.

Everyone who’s ever seen the Behemother with these scales, goes “Wow… what IS that?” (right before they start choking when I tell them what it cost 😂. I guess most of the people I’m usually around aren’t exactly knife nuts, and tend to think ~$200 is expensive for a knife. Yeah, I’ve seen THEIR kitchen knives 😂😂😂).

Kitchen knives are just like shoes/boots. They're worth paying for quality.
