Thank you Dave . It almost looks like Jo was making handle scales and chocolate/coffee pastry all at the same time![]()
Send that knife to me Casino, I have my pp warming up for you![]()
Let it pass HK, just let it pass.....![]()
Seems like July / Aug / Sep is the white shark time for your beaches then! Equipped with so many shivs, a few NASKs coming down your way not to mention the HC and possibly the BC, I'd be warning the sharks about you if I could speak the sharkish![]()
Mat, looks like the early arrivals are here already. That's both sightings and attacks four years in a row, all within about a three mile zone, for what it's worth:

I have to be quite careful in here so to not instigate a politically rooted discussion, but I read recently it is estimated that humans on average kill about 100 million sharks every year. This is a staggeringly astounding number which makes one wonder as to how many sharks are there left altogether? I can't fathom that there are over 7 billion of them, are there?!
Anyway, I got curious by your post and tried to look up the estimated number of white sharks and when I read that they are now considered as more endangered than tigers, I got pretty depressed to be honest with you! To be more precise, with over 400 different types of sharks, the over all shark population is not endangered yet even with these numbers mostly related to over fishing but the great whites numbers are significantly low and in the handful of thousands if what I read is close to factual.

No Doubt, however if a quote I made to Casino was takin the wrong way, I would like to apologize! Was only kiddin around!!
It's all good Brother! Congratulations on your Girl's Top Seven finishHi man, sorry, I've been out all day or I would have replied sooner. I'm only kidding around, too, hope it came across that way!
Worst part was I read the quote, and then the next thing was the quote box that said 'click to expand.' Hell no I'm not clicking to expand. I was just laughing my butt off and couldn't keep from throwing something out there.Hope you're having a good night, and thanks for putting up with my nonsense.
On a side note, since we're sidetracked in here a little anyway, my girl competed for Miss Idaho tonight, making it into the top seven. Not too shabby for being the next-to-youngest contestant. There's a little gal that's equally at home in an evening gown or in the woods. She won her section of the talent portion last night, haven't heard if she won it tonight. I told her that if she had just perfected that potato juggling act that I've been trying to get her to work on, instead of that silly singing number, she'd have won for sure

Gratuitous CPK content, a shot of some of the blue denim scales on a field knife. These are laminated to a black g10 liner.

Should I feel bad about enjoying one of your shark buddies at Anthony's Fish Grotto way before they closed the Embarcadero location?
Not endangered. Considered "vulnerable". That study you are quoting is from 2010. It is far easier to count tigers than sharks.
I get the concern though. Amazing creatures.
Thanks Tommy, pretty proud of her![]()
