GEC's copperhead dye is some of their absolute best. Sawcut or jigged, doesn't matter. It's wonderfully pleasing and fairly perfectly gradated.

Would copperhead fall under the red or brown category? Looks like ivory ain't gonna make it and I really like how that copperhead looks.

I still think it's a shame we couldn't get smooth ivory bone, but I don't mind saw-cut, and while I voted red, with black cherry in mind, I have no strong feelings, and will be happy with any of the leading contenders :) Been a fun process this year :D

The process of voting, arguing, ballot stuffing, and belittling each other for choices and preferences that aren’t our own is what makes the forum knife process so much fun. I’m thankful we got a 2020 knife last year, but it was missing this multi-pole in fighting process. 2019 was the first time I participated in the forum knife process. About 25% of my personal preferences were included, but I couldn’t have been more pleased with the end product. This process is what makes the BF knife special.

I voted brown…but if the “Red Bone Jerks” (RBJ’s) win…I’ll hold my peace…and I’ll still buy 2…because the journey is as cool as the knife.

I generally process my photos - mostly to sharpen and add clarity to textures and such. I just took this picture of my red sawcut pieces and the only thing I did to it was snap the pic in natural lighting and then crop it. There is no enhancing of the color and it is also worth noting that photographing the bevels near the bolster can be tricky due to the reflective surface.

I didn't think until after the fact that I should have lined these up in chronological order - oh well.

Northwoods Heritage Jack (Red Sawcut) - 2019/2020
Northfield Barlow (CK SFO) (Blood Red Sawcut) - 2018
Northfield Barlow (CK SFO) (Red Sawcut) - 2019
Northfield #25 Barlow (CK SFO) (Blood Red Sawcut) - 2017
#14 Boys Knife (CK SFO) (Blood Red Sawcut) - 2018

Those are strong words you are using Dylan and I'm not going to engage them. I am also not going to change any of my petitioning for what I think or bother trying to "prove" what you may want proved.
Take it or leave it, everyone has a choice.
In your photo above a lot of those border on pink. Did you request your dealer make sure you didn't get pink? Some of those same knives I received were much lighter and have been moved on with no thought to saving pictures of knives that I did not like.

Holy Cow! Look at all the traitors to the White/Ivory cause!

So is that Sepia color used on this year's 15's on the table? Would that be brown?

Not too late for a Rotten Banana comeback, obviously the best choice. 😁

Black cherry inside/outside lighting.

Now there is a beautiful set of red sawcut bone covers! How can anyone in their right mind not want to vote for red covers? Brown is such an ordinary color. I mean dead plants are the color brown! Who wants a handle scale that looks like some dead flowers sitting in a vase?
Go red! Think a nice elderberry or black cherry red if you are not a bright red person.

...snip...

My words are causing strife that I did not intend

Since there is no saw cut white/ivory made by gec, i edited an amber and sepia picture. Also added pictures for the other colors of what is most likely to win…

Brown… whatever they call autumn, chestnut, copperhead.. all the same

Thanks for sharing those white sawcut photos. Boy that would make for a truly unique forum knife. I for one am staying strong on my white Ivory vote. Only way I'd change my vote would be to jump ship for banana bone bc that would also be a very unique choice as well.

...... So far though, you are the only one who has come forward to state this. Everyone else is simply jumping on the pink sawcut bandwagon -

I would encourage you to read back through this thread and I think you will see where you are wrong.

The red options on the next possible poll may be based on what bill said he is willing to offer. Being charlie listed specific reds, maybe those are what bill already stated? I dont know. Maybe same idea with the brown. Bill 5 or 6 hes willing to do. If it wins, charlie will get the list from bill. Just spitballing possible behind the scenes happenings…

I am packing for vacation so we'll see how this turns out in the end.
Sorry if I have offended any of you redsters :) or caused you any undo exasperation. (not directed at you, Dylan);)

I am of a sort that doesn't adhere to "brand loyalty" really (regarding motor vehicles at least). There are years of Fords that I like better than Chevys and vice versa - there are even some Dodges that can kick the pants off both of them in certain cases.

I hope to show off my project at some point in the near future. Right now it is disassembled - doing body work, getting the frame squared away, etc.

But if you're curious, I am restoring a 1967 Ford F250 Custom Cab. Doing a "patina" build of sorts - focusing on fully redone innards, new wheels, interior, etc. I have a '71 F100 as well, which I was hoping to turn into a hot rod of sorts but it is in pretty poor condition compared to the 250 - right now, it is a parts truck.

Yes! This was a 360 that I had converted to a 390. I might have tried to go bigger but I have to watch my costs in certain areas. It can be easy to go pretty crazy if one doesn't set limits.
I had a '66 F250 Custom Cab Camper Special when I was young, bought it from my Dad. RED and White ;) So is that engine a 352?

I think a few people here have concerns over pinkness due to their experiences and what theyve seen. I havent noticed many being swayed by the people with the concerns, its just those that already having the concern sharing their concern.
