The Lahar is a very well made knife, typical of the Japanese attention to detail and high tolerances. My horn wasn't tooted too much by it and personally it falls off to the way side compared to the shadow cast by the JYDII in my opinion. Mostly this was due to the lock thickness difference in the two knives though. What can I say, Kershaw spoiled me with the JYDII and it will be hard to ever look at a knife with less lock the same way again in fair light but overall the Lahar was a good looker, smooth as silk, flawless with a fair grip, and a good looking profile and blade, in a perfect size.
I like the Blur SG2 much better personally, especially when I removed the AO feature and the JYDII stands tall over both of them if you ask me. In fact with a slight improvement to the G10 liner on that JYDII by making the lock accessible to the index finger I think it would be a better folder than most of the frame locks available in production companies everywhere. Its that good.
Other than that the lack of a stud as well as a flipper option for opening, and the pocket clip which I did not care for personally, the JYDII is tops in my opinion for all liner locks that I have seen in my life!
