Pics of customized production knives

my attempt at making some knives personal. I have the pictures in other threads, but I thought this is a nice thread to show them in.

I haven't finished these scales yet, they are still rough and lack the finishing treatments. it's a benchmade 580 barrage.

micarta scales and a Ti lowrider pocket clip for the junkyard dog. modifried cheap chinderer just lit it on fire and stone washed the blade in the dryer.

Keyman what are you using for the blade pivot hole and axis slot? I've some G10 and Linen Micarta coming in a couple of days and will be making my first scales for my BM585. Looking forward to the project.

That is really beautiful. Have you ever done scales for a griptilian? I'm looking to replace the ones on my RitterGrip

Here's my ESEE 5.
So far I've stripped it, convexed it, added a choil and contoured the handle.

I'm thinking about buying a griptilian and making some scales for it. I've heard it's a great knife, with cheap scales.

That pretty much sums up the griptilian.
Let me know how that goes for you. I'm looking for someone to do the scales for mine

I used a couple step bits & a drill press for the pivot and screw holes. The axis slot was done by drilling two holes close together. Then I cleared the remaining material between the two holes out with a dremel tool.

moded another inron my803 these things work alot better after I took it apart, realined the lock bar and cleaned and lubed.

[/IMG] they seem to need a tune up right out of the box.with some....well alot of work they can be a desent knife. It is fun to try different mods on a knife and not have to worry about ruining it .
