Pipes and Traditional knives (cigars welcome)

Here's a Missouri meerschaum cob kit I've been playing with and smoking, along with my go to reamer and some Mammoth
ivory for a stem i'm going to make. Happy smoking. :D

Best regards

Robin

Maybe not quite a "traditional" knife, so if this inappropriate for this thread I'll apologize in advance and promise to retake with a more suitable knife.

Please do that.

Please do that.

For kicks I threw in an EH with my old Boker 494 and my new friend the SBJ.

That'll work just fine. Thanks.

Lordy Lordy!!! I hope this thread hasn't encouraged anyone to start smoking or resume smoking....

Well I've dabbled in the corn cobs with buddies while fishing but this thread made me buy a new pipe! I was gifted an old Thompson, and from reading, I see they could have been made by a number of makers and just branded Thompson, so I'll just leave that one be.

Got me Savinelli Roma 602 on order along with a few 2oz samples of tobaccos to try out. Got an ice fishing outing that will be perfect for the first smoke this coming weekend. When I get it in the mail, I'll be sure to pair it up with a knife and post a pic.

There are some very nice pipes, especially the freehands, and knives in this thread. Hope you're all enjoying!

Welcome to the club!:D:thumbup:

A mm cob full of my morning bowl of 7th Ave Blonde from Drew Estate (last of the tin :( ) and and my mail call from today. The sheepsfoot went straight into my pocket. I love it!

Here's my new Savinelli Roma, new harness jack and my grandmother's old Griswold cast iron ashtray modeled after their cast iron pans. Two slots for cigars/cigarettes and the rectangle notch at the front is for a book of matches. Seasoned just like my pans are.

Stich2442 - nice Stanwell!

You have some really nice Stanwell's ( and fantastic knives ) in your collection, most of my pipes are cheapies, this Stanwell is a nice smooth smoke

Thanks for a great post Pete, I'm very happy for you my friend :)

Here's another ramble for you Jack

It's not often I have a bit of time to do nothing, I've always been a early riser 3:30, 4am type, I found myself with nothing pressing, wife and oldest left at 7:00 little one sleeping, I figured I would enjoy a cup coffee and smoke on the back porch, but said 10° although warmer than the last few weeks the warmth of the house seemed a better choice, I would pull out some records, and sit in and I had one of those moments of reflection of the past, way back when I was a Chef and burning the candles at both ends, every now and then I would be off on a weekend, one of my roommates also a Chef, enjoyed music as much as I did, we would wake up early the rest of our housemates still sleeping, Jay would make the coffee and I would pull a selection from my vast music library and we would drink our coffee, smoke, and drink black sambuca, I would spin records and then go to breakfast, those were great times back then but I'm sure glad they're gone. Hope Jay is doing well it's been about 12 years since we last saw each other, we literally bumped into each other at a free concert at Copley went for dinner and drinks and went our separate ways.

What is that UNXLD with a bail? Looks like a great knife. I am not a smoker, but I love looking at this thread.

Nice White Owl, Pete, and an impressive lanyard set-up on it.:thumbup:
