Pit impressed with Mora !!!!

Now I want a mora even more - especially after seeing those nice custom sheaths! Actually I handled one of Normark's mora2000 which wins the king of ugly award. It felt like a pretty darn good knife and stouter than I expected.

Look at the Mora 511 thread, some of those guys have extras they are offering up. I got one from udtjim and it is pretty sweet. May be a passaround or something if I find out I have time.

was just looking through some of the old threads when I came upon this post by Pitdog:

You have brain washed bro !!!

Repeat these words three times " Mora's are pants " now go throw them in your fishing tackle or tool box where they belong !!!!

I have said it a thousand times before but Mora's are decent cheap knives, nothing more, nothing less, I'd rather have a cheap Buck or Ka-Bar than a Mora and when it comes to comparing them with real quality blades there is no comparison !!!

If someone likes that style of blade then go get a Skookum or Koster bushcraft knife etc !!!

However if you are on a budget ( which I can quite understand as my funds are often limited as well ) then yeah a Mora will do but please don't be brainwashed into thinking they are the be all and end all !!!

Man I can hear the blood pressure building in the Mora club already !!!

How the mighty have fallen;):D

Hey jontok, you have too much time on your hands digging up old posts like this !!!!

Now get of my case while I look for my fishing tackle box !!!!LOL !!!

wow, i'd have missed this thread entirely if not for all the bumping. that woulda sucked, what a good laugh.

bump.

Maybe we should try a Mora passaround, only instead of mailing it, everybody just buys one. We'll all feel some special vibration in the force, as 3,000 fuzzsticks are made at once.

In the dark where nobody can see !!!;)

WOW..I cant believe what I just walked in on...PIT..what the hell man?? I thought you and me where the last 2 hold outs.....I guess I have to go this one alone. I know one thing for sure..I am not telling anyone that I used any of the moras that I own. thats for sure.

Well, I, for one, still don't have one. Nothing particularly against them, just I don't have a need for one.

no one needs more than one battle mistress, either. nonetheless.....

this is bladeforums, after all!

So, if I buy a mora will I be able to make fancy fuzz sticks too?
Sorry Pit, this needed to go back to the top.

Man I can't believe this thread is still going! They can't just let it go. LOL:D

Oh and Bump again!!!:D

Seriously, (kinda) for someone like me that has never handled one. If and when I buy one which one do I want? Where can I get one of those sheaths? And oh yeah, BTTT!

I actually like the 850 and the new 511 I received is growing on me quickly. I like the grip on the 850 better as it is rubberized and seems to stay put a little better when I get sweaty and such...
