PLEASE POST YOUR TRADITIONAL GERMAN FIXED BLADES & POCKET KNIVES,

Another Anton Wingen Jr. set.

Hard to find these "Piggy back" sets in as fine condition as this one, especially the well respected A.Wingen Jr.

13 inch and its wee friend!
Both of these Knives you can see have the two piece Stag Handles - 4 Pinned.

I have one siimlar to the big one, must have been a popular pattern that other German makers made. I have shown them before in another thread.

I could not get the pic of the whole knife to attach. Sorry, at least you see the make and it says Alemania which is Spanish for Germany. While it has seen use, someone knew how to give it a sharp edge.

Finally got a new pic of my fixed blade, and a Kissing Crane my wife bought for me.

Nice Mammoth Handles on that Sunfish Fishin.

cbach8tw - there were thousands of these generic Solingen “Bowie’s” made by quite a few Cutlery firms.
There were the odd ones that stand out - such as by THE top Solingen firms or the likes of the different Olsen I posted a page or so back with a different Factory Clip point.
One of the fixed blades last page seems to be extremely hard to get - and that is that 10 inch “ Bowie” in the set of three, I haven’t yet seen another - and would absolutely love it if someone else had one.
We do get the 10 inch Generic models but not in this ones shape.
So please by all means anyone if you have this knife I would love to see it!

do You mean 10 inch blade or 10 inches overall? I assume 10 inches overal.

Thanks Duncan! This a fantastic thread… so many great classics of German steel. Happy hunting

I bought this set about 3 years ago, and paid quite a lot for it. Took these pics, (mainly so I knew where everything was supposed to go!), then put it down, still wrapped in the tissue paper I bought it in, and completely forgot about it! o_O Any thoughts/info on the manufacturer or factor would be very welcome
