The 4Max is an Overbuilt AD10. The AD10/came out before Medford was making knives.
And the 4Max dwarfs a Praet.

He is talking about the Demko Knives Custom 4Max. The knife so popular that there is a waiting list to get on the waiting list.

Cold Steel is pathetic.
I respect well built knives in every price segment but I don't respect Cold Steels marketing tactics. Either they are run by morons or they think their customers are bunch of morons.
I'm surprised this topic keeps coming up for debate on this forum. I guess the videos are working. It sure is getting CS more attention. I would expect the majority of knife lovers here to see right through the BS of CS.

I did a hands on at the local knifery of the Cold Steel line as they have some four hundred plus pieces and was amazed at how bad it was. Copies of K-Bars, copies of Grohmann, copies of anything and everything all at flea market pricing and quality.
So I upped the hands on to the expensive stuff and found $400 fixed blades in their house brand VG-1 steel! I think it's insulting to suckers to call someone buying one of those a sucker.

Do you have any idea how many companies have made the basic Kabar pattern? Or the Canadian belt knife? I can completely respect anyone disliking Cold Steel, but you seem to be in a contest to see how far you can get your foot down your throat.

Not a new steel although a good steel, Ti liners have been done, and G10 is every where.
Did Lynn make a new video of him jumping off a forklift, through a ring of fire to stab through a Kia or something?

As someone who owns knives from CRK, to the most expensive Spyderco's, to customs, I say you're exaggerating to try and make a point.
Cold Steel's knives are generally pretty good, with the exception of the cheapest (the Canadian Belt Knife is crap...I'm Canadian, so you can trust me on that
).You are positioning yourself as a full-blown hater, and that's just as sad as being a die-hard fanboy.

No, they make quite solid knives. It has yet to be determined if you have any redeeming qualities.
Actually I've been quite nice in other threads. In this one though I have chosen to discourse in the black and white dichotomy of love and hate. They'll probably just just draw inspiration from this though and make a knife called the Yin/Yang.
Good; one less whiny youtube review based on unrealistic expectations the better.

In that way what about $350-400 for Sebenza or Strider folders made from such average materials like G-10, titanium and S30V? [and in some SnG/SmF was problem with soft ti frame which caused vertical blade pla and in one piece I had in hand cutting edge was passing by lanyard hole] Or what about some Spyderco knives made in Japan from VG-10 for ~$200? For example Street Beat. I've that knife. I like it, but it's overpriced for piece of micarta, VG-10 and crappy kydex which I replaced with custom sheath.
And older sheath from Spyderco [poorly formed and loose]

The guy ahead of me encapsulates exactly what's "wrong" with Cold Steel and why they're so discordant to so many people.
The ethos of being a person who "weeds your own garden" fits in with why I own and carry a pocket knife. I have to say it's the same for many people here.
