Lebanon, PA ("Drunken Smithy")

They offer standard basic beginner classes where they give you an HC railroad spike and you forge it, or, you can pay extra, get a full bar and forge an axe or a sword, real cool spot run by good folks.
*(to heck with the ex, lol)

Jumping on this thread because I’ve recently fallen in love with carrying a pocket fixed blade after feeling like I needed more than a pocket knife while camping!

From bottom to top.

Amtac Northman. It got me started on the pocket fixed blade. Handle was too short for me. I thought the tip was too fragile based on the thin flat grind.

Payne Recourse. Great knife. The blade is wide so it needed a wide sheath. The Northman and Recourse both have a 3.5” blade.

Morakniv with Kit Badger sheath. Good slim blade but handle is thick. 4” blade is slightly too long for pocket carry to suit my tastes. Handle is too bulky for my taste.

Joe Watson Magni. I like this the best. Best balance of tip strength and cutting edge. 3” blade is a nice length. Blade is not too wide. I like the wrap because it is grippier than g10. It helps when only using a few fingers to draw the blade. This has replaced the folder I used to carry clipped in my pocket. I would like to find another Magni without a coating to use for daily use and keep this as a backup.
