Sure, we all go through the motions when we first buy a new knife. We admire it, baby it a little (or a lot,) and carry it every day to ‘get the feel’ for it. In short, our new blades become our EDC… for a while.

But…

What knife finds its way into your pocket the most? Maybe it’s just the perfect size or weight. Perhaps it’s part of our daily rituals like lunch-time prep or cutting chaw. Do you tote it around just like grand-dad did? Has the knife simply ‘broken in’ the right way like a comfy pair of shoes or an old baseball glove? Maybe the tools are just so darn useful that you feel naked without it. They may not be our Sebenza’s, Hinderer’s, or Strider’s but these are the knives that’re never too far away for too long…

Mine used to be an old Swiss Army 'Recruit.' I lost it and bought a ‘Driver’ (same deal only with the crappy textured plastic scales :thumbdn:) but it just wasn’t the same. That’s why I’m in this whole knife-buying mess now… :D

My pocket hog is a Cold Steel Espada medium, love this thing, but right know its my fist Boker Mosier fixed blade with leather sheath I had made.

Delica 4 with the Emerson Wave. For some reason, I like the blade profile more than a standard Delica...might be because its more capable of thrust cuts. Also, the wave is just such a useful feature to have and Spyderco did it perfectly.

I have an older Spyderco Rookie plain stainless with a serrated blade thats been sharpened nearly flat.

The watch goes on the left wrist, the beat up Fenix LED AA flashlight in the front right pocket, and the Rookie in the back pocket with my billfold.

It's been that way for almost two years now, and I haven't broken the tip off.......yet.

one knife i find that i never get tired of carrying is my case slimline trapper.
cant go wrong with the classics!

Queen "Cattle King" stockman and CS American Lawman. (And, of course, my SAK SwissChamp in its permanent pouch/home on my shoulder strap.)

Definitely my Byrd Cara Cara. Even though I have the CC 2 now, I still go back to my original from time to time.

Although, recently...I've been carrying my Buck Vantage Select (the knife that got me addicted to blades). Carried that thing for probably 6 or 7 months before getting another knife. Rediscovering my love for it, I guess.

ZT 0200. i always wear jeans, and it is just very comforting. i barley notice it, and it is a nice big hunk of knife....

I like the broken in like an old pair of jeans/boots analogy. That about sums up my A100, not pristine but it still looks good, its loose and tight in all the right places, and has rub marks where it rubs things from use alot. Solid description of it. Love that knife.

Plain ole Griptilian. I love that knife. SAK Economy Camper is also in there.

Oh yeah, and the Izula two hanging around my neck...heh heh heh...

Lately it's been either the Demko Navajah or Spartan tanto.
