Pocket Hogs…

LH 21 Large Sebenza. During the week my CF ZDP-189 Caly 3 usually loses to the Sebenza, and on the weekends my Paramilitary 2 and LH Umnumzaan compete pocket time.

For me it is a knife and a multi tool. The knife is Spyderco Native, I love the way this knife fits my hand, and the tool is Gerber Crucial, not too big and has the tools I need most

My Scroggs custom boot knife, i just can’t get out of the house whit out it.

I picked up a Spyderco CF Sage last week. It is a great knife and I really like it, but for some strange reason, my blue Delica 4 FFG and Centofante 3 keep butting in on the EDC rotation. How rude!

I think they're made of VG-10, FRN, *and* witchy mojo...

My Vic Huntsman, for the last 6 months,is always on my belt. It's too darned handy, for me,not to be.

Strider SnG and Dalton Rung Sat probably get the most pocke time for me.
I also almost always have a Queen Whittler with as well, in case there are sheeple about.

I have well over a hundred knives and I love em all but my EDC always comes down to my Spyderco Native that I have had for 4 yrs now and Leatherman Blast on my Belt. Both are light in weight and strong as an Ox. For the longest time I couldn't get my Native sharp enough for my liking but I carried it anyway due to its size, weight and strength. Now I know how to get it sharp and I love it all the more. I want to love the Leatherman Wave the most but the Blast is just well, A Blast to carry. It has all most the same tools as the Wave but the Ice breaker is the Phillips driver on the Blast. I love that driver. Plus its lighter to carry. So, yes I am a SAK nut and yes I am a knife nut in General but those two tools are my choice for EDC. They cover all of my needs on a daily basis.

For me it would be my case sodbuster junior in cv it's not the most exciting knife by any means but it's simplicity and bomb proof construction make it a winner in my book the steel is also very easy to touch up and has decent edge retention.

Bye bye Classic, hello Rambler! I used to love the Victorinox Classic for my keychain, but the Rambler came along and booted it out with great authority. I don't think I could go back to the Classic pattern now...

As for my larger folders, the Spyderco Para-Military 2 is the biggest, strongest, and most fiercely jealous pocket hog yet. Not only has it kicked most other folders out of my pocket, but has insisted on more stable room as well. I've been rethinking my pocket knife needs/wants since my Para 2 joined the collection, and subsequently, I have gotten rid of a few knives I just wasn't using anymore. Until something better comes along, the Para-Military 2 wears the crown for top-hog.:cool::thumbup:

There are only a few other knives that still see some regular pocket time nowadays: Spyderco Sage 1, Benchmade 940, Spyderco Dragonfly 2, Spyderco Delica 4 ffg (still has that witchy mojo working for it,) Spyderco Centofante 3, and the CRKT Ripple 1 (mostly on those rare dressier occasions.) The rest of my collection has taken a backseat. :/

Edit: add pix!

I have two pocket hogs, who displace the others all the time.
Benchmade 43
Non-waved CQC7 that I've had since 2004.

.......until I (one day, fingers crossed) get my hands on a Sebbie.

I've really been liking my new (to me) Benchmade 940 lately. It's the perfect size, the best made Benchmade I've ever seen, fits in the hand and the pocket perfectly, looks good, holds an edge forever. Perfect!

I'll carry a new acquisition for a little while, but the Spyderco Tenacious is usually what I go back to for a larger cutter. For smaller cutting it's usually a 3.5" Stockman pattern slipjoint in carbon steel.

Lately a Gerber 600 also goes with me everywhere (we're just finished moving).

As of late, I've been usually carrying just my Victorinox Sportsman. That's always in my pocket, regardless of what else I carry. If I'm in the mood for a larger knife, fo the past 2 months it's been the Kershaw Clash.
