Pocket Hogs…

Kershaw Skyline. I really don't need anything heavier in the city, and the narrow profile and light weight allows easy carry. I've bought other, more expensive knives, but for pocket time, Skyline usually wins.

I've been polishing the blade a little.

Pocket hogs for me, as live in uk [strict knife laws] in public away from home, victorinox Farmer, leatherman squirt ps4, ie uk legal, but whole different ballgame when at home , around smallholding / farm ,RECON 1 AND MANIX 2 , are always hogging my pockets. CHEERS FARON.

ZT 0350 and spyderco black CE delica 4. my benchmade onslaught is my new favorite but the ZT is that "old pair of jeans"... worn in right and feels so good in the hand.

My EDC consists of 7 items, only one of which is a folder. That folder has to justify each inch and each ounce of its existence, and it doesn't need to be a pocket prybar because I actually carry a pocket prybar / wrench. The knife that keeps finding its way into my pocket is the humble Kershaw Skyline. It has a 3"+ length and 7/8" width blade with 3"+ of cutting edge, G10 scales that doesn't get scratched easily, solid lockup, decent steel, very light weight (2.3 oz), thin profile (3/8"), and modest price. With all its qualities I feel no guilt in abusing it. If I somehow break it Kershaw is more than likely to cover it, and even if they don't it's only $30 for crying out loud.

Several keep finding their way into my pocket:

CRK Sebenza (large)
Umnumzaan
Acies
SmF

And - surprisingly - my recently acquired Cold Steel American Lawman.

Of course - my Vic Climber is ALWAYS riding shotgun, no matter what folder I am carrying.

Leatherman Skeletool for me. Just too useful to ever leave behind. I have left work to go home and get it before if I forgot it.

I've clipped this one to my pocket every morning for the last decade or so.

Prior to that, I had an old Schrade slipjoint that spent about 30yrs in that duty.

I rotate through several EDC knives, but the SOG Twitch II and Spydie CF Stretch II seem to get the most pocket time. The Twitch II doesn't get much love around here, but its small, light weight, solidly constructed, and an assisted opener.

Cold Steel Recon 1. Usually I buy/like knives for blade shape or steel, but this one I loved the handle (seriously fits my hand like a glove) and the triad lock so much I couldn't put it down.

But I hated that I carried it so much, because nothing else that I had put down good money for would get pocket time.

Now that I got my Demko custom Recon 1, that problem has been solved :D
