My EDC consists of 7 items, only one of which is a folder. That folder has to justify each inch and each ounce of its existence, and it doesn't need to be a pocket prybar because I actually carry a pocket prybar / wrench. The knife that keeps finding its way into my pocket is the humble Kershaw Skyline. It has a 3"+ length and 7/8" width blade with 3"+ of cutting edge, G10 scales that doesn't get scratched easily, solid lockup, decent steel, very light weight (2.3 oz), thin profile (3/8"), and modest price. With all its qualities I feel no guilt in abusing it. If I somehow break it Kershaw is more than likely to cover it, and even if they don't it's only $30 for crying out loud.
