Podcast centered around slip joint making/traditional knife history - The Catch Bit Show

Enactive, While the cutlery operations are gone, you can still see the wonderful knife museum in that area if you go back by there.
Glenn, you do know that "nerdy" is the the new "cool". :) Yes, neat to hear some of the knife making secrets.
Duncan, raise a pint for your forum friends over there.
Sacto, thanks, and part two with Eric should be equally as fascinating.

Neal H herder often makes me chuckle but I coughed laughing so hard in the second Albers episode.

Mike asked Eric if he serializes his knives. When Eric said no but he should start, in the background you hear Neal say “too late now” in his perfect upper Midwestern. I must’ve listened to that a dozen times. 😂

Part two with Eric should be equally as fascinating.
And, indeed it was!!! Eric's life has been so interesting as it led up to the great knives he's making, and has made, for us rabid collectors!!!
Thank you Mike and Neal for bringing us these episodes!!

If I'm not mistaken, Mike's Great Knife Adventure is underway!! I hope it is going well!!

Eric mentioned Making this Mammoth-handled knife!! Note the Schrade shield!!!

What cover is that?

Can’t wait to listen to the Episodes with Eric-, it’s very rare I am so behind in the Podcast - they can’t come round quick enough.
Being so busy before we left for Holiday - I am looking forward greatly to listening to these once we get back.
Keep up that great work guys. 😊👍👍

If there is a part three I would like to hear about when you met Eric, the Red Trout run, the making of Eric's Jack, and Eric's Shrade collection.
Before he learned to make knives with Wally Gardiner at Canal Street, I met Eric at a knife show in Easton, Pennsylvania!! We've been "long distance" friends, and fellow Schrade collectors ever since!! I told Bill about him, and introduced them, and Bill offered him a job!! It didn't work geographically for Eric.

Just back from Mike's "Grand Knife Adventure" and extravaganza. Saying it was great fun would be a vast understatement. Full details on the next podcast...
Duncan, Hope your holiday is going well and have a safe trip back my friend.
5DoorEstate, thanks for listening and I think we have convinced Eric to have all his knives shipped back for him to serialize. :)
Enactive, thanks and we sure appreciate your support.
Charlie, It was a great turn out for Mike's event and I think everyone had possibly too much fun. :) Beautiful examples of some of Eric's work!!!
Heynowwww, wonderful collection of copper Ka-Bar models, very neat to see that group shot.
Glenn, part 3 is highly likely. :)
Hatchet Jack, good looking French knife with an equally good looking background. :)

I'm sorry I couldn't make it for the inaugural event!!:(

I bet Mike’s Great Knife adventure was just awesome. As Charlie says it will be neat listening to the follow up of all that, it must have been a nerve wracking time for Mike with all the work having gone into the preparation and organising with the hopes of a great time for all, so I am so please for Mike and all they attended to hear it went so well 😊😊
Thanks Neal. Heavy sadness rolling in, it rocks Sue and her Family when she has to go again- the distance couldn’t get further apart. 😞
Have the best day everyone.

Edited for predictive typo’s 🥴
