I'll also be ashamed of those that vote GEC after all the support, work and effort SK Blades has put in so far for this year's Forum Knife.

How is this helpful? There are many perfectly valid reasons someone might vote for a GEC 14 forum knife that have nothing to do with, and in no way diminish, the excellent work skblades has put in here.

skblades skblades , just want to thank you for all the leg work and going above and beyond in your efforts to help out here. No matter the outcome, if you can get a two blade 301 built with ffg, and upgraded steel, with whatever covers, I don't care, I will be aquiring one.

Count me in as well. I want to avoid any griping, so I'll just say I REALLY want a two blade 301 with FFG and upgraded steel.

Here it's 28th April. Hasn't this poll closed already?? The 301 has clearly the largest tranche of votes, add that to the votes for the Smaller Stockman and I'd say there is no point having a Stockman/LB runoff going on for more days.

I thought Buck had obtained Spark's greenlight? Doesn't that mean they can use the all important BF tangstamp provided the stainless is not superhard? I ask this because, with respect, if there are too many micro-polls then it's possible that a GEC made to measure carbon option will somehow become the reality.....by default as it were.

I'd like to give Buck a shot at this, I want a stainless knife for a change..;) so let's gather pace, all the work and willingness that skblades skblades and Buck have shown should not be allowed to fall by the wayside due to minutiae..;)

I would really like to see a vote between Buck and GEC. It seems like the right thing to do.

We are talking about doing the 501 with Burlap and CPM-154 just like the photos I've posted as our own knife offering.
That's great but, I am after a forum knife. If it is not a forum knife, I'm not sure I'm willing to spend the money. I just have too many branding irons in the fire right now.

As for people pushing for a 301 because of legal limits, remember, I suggested we go with two knives this year. Is that idea completely off the table?

I still like a 3-blade stockman. As for two blades on two springs, I don't see the point of a double-ender, and I think the knife would be stronger with the two tangs supporting each other on one end.

I don't see how this phase can end unless GEC says "Thanks, but we don't have the time (or whatever) this year", or a dealer is set with a GEC (#14) option. Then we could have an official vote between Buck and GEC, except how can a vote be official if nobody's in charge here, and if Buck won people who think Buck forumites shouldn't have a vote would question the validity of the vote.

I think that with a 250 knife minimum order for each pattern, it may be tough to get that many orders of both patterns.

With all due respect to everyone involved why would you expect GEC to opt out when they don't opt in except when asked. Unless I'm wrong GEC (whose products I've spent thousands on) is not involved except as a manufacturer. They contribute in their way and magnificently at that. But, they must be Army brats because they don't volunteer, lol.
