predict the bushcraft trend for 2010

My new invention, the Upside-Down-Wedding-Cake grind, will definitely be all the rage.

That looks like the grind on some o' them fancy Busses!

You guys are gonna laugh, but I've really been enjoying a hollow grind with a convexed edge lately...it's much uglier than these cherry pics I took when it was new, but I did wipe that stupid thumb print off... :)

I know it's completely atypical, but in my experience it's been doing a swell job of everything I throw at it.

I'm not laughing. I put a convex edge on my hollow ground Buck 119. Works great!

I'm also thinking about using the term 'Knifing in the woods' :eek:to replace 'bushcraft'.
I think Convex might stay put for the time being.
homeland security , sounds kinda CSI like
buzz

I see rhinestones. Lots and lots of rhinestones.

You heard it here first.

That's the bandwagon I'm on. When I think about how much money I spent on big, heavy Busse's, when what all I really needed was an Imacasa.... :shudders: :foot:

:D

;););):D:thumbup:
They'd trade your INFI for a small sack of Kryppie down here, and go back to work.......IMACASA in hand.

I see all people go mad with the machete craze. The population of the earth will hack away all of the plantation and trees and we become extinct

All because of the machetes.
The axe will be forgotten.

I remain hopeful that there will be movement back to the idea that the best blade for Bushcraft is the one that works for the individual, regardless of design, blade steel, grind or endorsement by well known identities

Kind regards
Mick

As long as it's not this one! :D

In keeping with the title, I predict an increased shift (which has already begun) towards skills rather than gear or knives. Don't get me worng, new knives will always be drooled at and procured but less of the "which knife is best for..." mentality. More projects will be tried, more tarp skills, more one-pot recipes, more dog pics, more hiking. I also predict there will be less pissing matches on outdoors forums.

That would be a very cool trend there Marcelo!
