Primble & Friends March Madness Knife GAW - Winners Announced !!!

Post #23 edited, be warned Primble, it's pretty scary.:D

Frank might very well be "tanked" by half time, if Coach Cal has his way.;)

Since March madness rarely winds down with all of the # 1 seeds in the Final Four, it will be interesting to see how many of the # 1's actually make it.:confused:

My fingers are crossed ! :)

Great post, BTW !!! :thumbup::D

I'm a big fan of sheepsfoot blades, and other than the #15 boys knife I just ordered, I don't have any others with a main blade in sheepsfoot. I have Kentucky making it to the Final Four but losing out to the Badgers... My Texas A&M Aggies choked their way out of the tournament by getting upset in the SEC tournament, and are currently pandering in the NIT. So, you're already well ahead of them...

*Aaaaand Iowa St. begins the blowing up of the brackets...*

way to go Big 12...

UPDATE: *and Baylor...*

Just in case a few of you might think that March Madness has nothing in common with knives, I noticed that one of Butler's starting players had a last name of "Barlow" on the back of his jersey. ;):eek::D I wonder if he is any kin to Obadiah ??:confused::D

News flash - Butler defeats Texas - I feel your pain Rachel. :o

That was quick.
Oh well, the Lady Longhorns are still in it, I think.

Great GAW Primble! I'm not an entrant - been blessed by your generosity before - but I'm watching with great interest - heart intact (so far!) OH
Ps. Ain't nobody gonna beat Kentucky this year - if it could have been done, it would have been done by Louisville!!

I've loved this knife since I stumbled onto in a cardboard box with a bunch of old discarded knife pouches. The guy behind the counter at the sporting goods store didn't think much of it and sold it to me for $25. That was in 1991 and I was stationed at Ft. Ord. Pictures still can't do it justice to me. But, this comes close I think.

As for the GAW knife, I can't even begin to say why I like it so much. I just do. #1 and #3 respectively appeal to me due to the black covers. They evoke style and elegance to me. I've been wanting to add S&M to my collection but haven't gotten around to it yet. All I can say is wow.

I'm pulling for Kentucky.

Who's Christian Laettner?

Thanks for the chance! Fantastic GAW!

3. This third requirement is an amazing, coincidental opportunity for me! SportsCenter was on TV as I prepared for work this morning, and March Madness was of course a major topic. As I listened, I realized that my alma mater Purdue would face Kentucky on Saturday, assuming they both survive their first round games. And then I thought of Primble's love for his Wildcats, and I tried to figure out how I could offer him condolences. But Primble himself provides the perfect opportunity!! :D:eek::D Purdue 78, Kentucky 74!!! Even if I'm right, I'll concede that UK has had a marvelous season.

(And even if Purdue doesn't take down the 'Cats, there are a number of teams from the basketball hotbed state of Indiana that have the potential to meet and defeat Kentucky: Valparaiso in the second round, or Butler, IU, or ND in the regional finals. Hoosier Daddy, Kentucky??)

6. Not a Laettner fan, but I have even more hard feelings for Kyle Macy, who left Purdue to go slumming at UK!

Thanks for the opportunity, Primble! :D:D

Since I'm battling a dread disease this week (well, cold or flu), I couldn't stay up to watch my beloved Boilermakers last night; when I went to bed, they had a small halftime lead. When I got up this morning, I found to my dismay that Purdue lost to Cincinnati by 1 point. :(:mad: (Lots of close games yesterday: FIVE 1-point games, as well as a 2-point, 3-point, and 4-point game.)

So now my prediction that Purdue would beat UK will not come true (Primble, you should probably make a grateful donation to Cincinnati for knocking off Purdue and saving your 'Cats ;)), am I disqualified from winning the GAW???:eek::confused:

(I don't understand why "trash talk" is so popular - never works for me!)

Here's my favorite knife. It's a recent procurement, but I've been wanting something along these lines for several years now.

I actually went looking for this S&M knife (the English Jack) several months ago only to find that it's no longer available. I will admit to not being a huge sheepfoot fan, but the long pull nail nick combo really intrigued me. Not to mention those beautiful covers!

I'd tell you something about basketball, but the honest truth is that I have no idea about any of it, including the fella I'm not supposed to like.

I hope I qualify for your GAW.... that English Jack sure is a fine knife.... thanks for doing this!

Thanks for the GAW Primble!

Im in!

This is currently my favorite knife! something about the 15 really has me hooked.

I'm not a big basketball follower..........but I'll take Virginia (have lived in nova for a while). I do try to follow my aluminator IUP in DIV II. They beat Slipper Rock which is all that really matters........but I'll take them for it all in DIV II. Go HAWKS!

I'm interested in the knife because I only own one s&m (heritage Jack) love the knife but hate the f&f. It's currently a beater. I'd love to have an example of their good work., and I know a knife you offer up is going to be a good example. Also I'm from PA and have wanted a knife with a keystone shield for some time. I've been hesitant to buy one of the current keystone offering based on my current knife, but I excited to see one you have handled. So I'm really interested in trying it out.

Thanks again.

Jim

Thank you for the GAW.

I love the drop point on that single blade worm grooved handled knife. And seeing as how I wouldn't be able to afford it it would be cool to win it.
The Celtics and by 21 points(this is just a guess I couldn't tell you a thing about basketball:D)
Thanks again

Primble my friend,

How's your "ticker" after that Kentucky vs Cincinnati game!? That was too close for comfort! Scary! Scary!

Go Cat's! :D
