Awesome giveaway! All 4 of those knives look great.

This little Queen mini trapper is probably my favorite. It was the first slipjoint I purchased that really got me into slipjoints. It's been carried and used a lot.

2. I've never owned a S&M but I have a few Queen knives. Both of those S&M knives have great bone covers. That ebony one was on my radar for a while as well but I never pulled the trigger because of the reports of hit and miss F&F. The covers on all 3 look great. That's something I think Queen/S&M do well. I also like the stag on that CSC Eric's Jack. Those were a little out of my price range when they came out and there weren't many to begin with!

3. I don't know if I see anyone beating Kentucky this year unless they all get food poisoning or something. Pretty sure they'll take the tourny this year.

Primble my friend,

How's your "ticker" after that Kentucky vs Cincinnati game!? That was too close for comfort! Scary! Scary!

Go Cat's! :D

In the first half it was ticking fast and then I got aggravated at Ellis in the second half. Think he was trying to make the Cats mad  and get them out of their game. It worked .......... for a while. :o:o All's well that ends well. :)

For the first time in a year those awful IMG tags are GONE !:eek::eek::D

I might be giving too many free lessons as your photos are getting better and better. ;):D

CONGRATS CATS:D A thriller for a while but all Cats @ the end;)

Watching the ND game now and half time. Now that is too close for comfort. GO IRISH !! (at least for now ;):D)

Thank you for the new knife GAW entries everyone !!!:)

Man I swear I aged five years watchin tonight's game. Not pretty but an IRISH victory non the less:o:thumbup:

WOW - what a game Notre Dame 67 - Butler 64 OT ! Game of the tournament so far. Congratulations to the resilient Irish !!:eek::eek::D EPIC !!!

Gotta love that NCSU Wolfpack; two victories they weren't supposed to earn (so far!)

Roberto, I owe it all to you and yes your photo lessons have helped me immensely!

With that said, I will take care of you for the lessons my friend. :) I have heard that you like TC Barlows  Just a rumor though

:D

I'M IN!

1) I do not own any traditional knives, and I currently lack the funds to acquire one. Just found out the wife is 6 weeks along with kiddo #3, so knife buying has been put on hold for awhile. I came close, so very close, to ordering one of the orange camel bone #15 GEC's that I saw on KSF yesterday.

2) I really dig the sheepsfoot blade on the GAW knife. I have a ZT0770 that I absolutely love that was given to me by my wife as an anniversary present (well, I picked it out, lol).

3) I'm a Florida fan, and since they aren't in the tourney this year, I'm rooting for Kentucky. I think they have what it takes to win it all.

Thanks for doing this awesome give away!

Well let's see:

The rules:

1. Post your favorite picture of any knife that you own or have owned.

2. State what you like about the GAW knife or why you want it - do you collect S&M, collect sheep foot knives, etc.?
I like the jigged bone covers.

3. Tell me which team might trounce (and by how many points) my beloved "Kentucky Wildcats" basketball team in the upcoming NCAA March Madness event.
Mississippi State! Obviously, I don't follow basketball. I have heard on NPR about how Kentucky is doing and the way the team is structured. The team that beats them will have figured out something I think.

4. Open to all members who post regularly in traditionals or can be a new member to Blade Forums Traditionals.
I think I qualify.

5. The winners will be picked during the week of the "Final Four". I am currently thinking about it and will get the method of choosing winners straightened out and clearly listed A.S.A.P.
Woot!

6. Last, but not least - you cannot be a Christian Laettner fan !!!!!!!!
Who?

7. You do not have to know anything about basketball to win a knife - just state in your post that you do not follow basketball.
I don't follow basketball.

This is meant to be a fun GAW and no meanness allowed !!! ( Well - I might take a little grief from some of you who support your favorite team avidly.)
Mississippi State will win..... though we'll have to do it without a coach. :o

Gotta love that NCSU Wolfpack; two victories they weren't supposed to earn (so far!)

Great win for the Wolfpack over Nova !!! Thank you for entering.:thumbup::)

Are you wagging knives today Marko or wagging rumors? I guess I deserve it, after sending out false/mean bribes in that other thread. ;):D:D

Thank you for supporting the SEC north in a down year for the Gators. I expect they won't remain that way for long. ;):D

:D:D:D Great post Woodrow !! Thanks for the entry. ;)

TC Barlow game added to GAW !!!

It will not be easy ! Primble does not like to give up TC Barlows, but, join in the fun and see if you can snatch one away from me. It might be a way to get rid of me for good if you win, as I might kick the bucket from sudden heart failure.;);):D:D:D

It is a TOUGH road to get to the Final Four and even TOUGHER to win the NCAA Championship, so this will be TOUGH, but, not as tough as it is for the teams to win the Championship trophy. The TC Barlow is your trophy and is yours if you get it all right. I have to admit that I feel pretty safe that none of you are that good "at your game" ! ;):D

The trophy - a like new, never used, walnut handled single spear TC Barlow in it's proper tube.

The RULES:

1. Starts today and runs until this coming Thursday at noon, or when the sweet sixteen begins. You can edit your post until noon on March 26th, 2015. :grumpy:

2. Allowed to enter: Anyone with at least thirty posts in Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades Forum. Donaters in this thread are eligible and encouraged to bring your best game, as well. ;):D

3. Name a traditional knife that you think could be considered worthy enough to win a knife design competition. Post a picture, if possible.

4. The challenge - you must choose correctly the teams that will make it to the Final Four and you must predict the Championship game teams and final score correctly.

Example:

I believe the TC Barlow in Walnut Sheepfoot might very well win a knife design competition. ( NOT A GAW !!! :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: )

vwtpwo.jpg

Final Four:
Kentucky
North Carolina State
Gonzaga
Arizona

Championship game final score - Kentucky 82 - Gonzaga 74 :eek::eek::D:D

5. Must show good sportsmanship and let's try to keep in mind that all competing teams, from all areas of our nation, deserve our respect. ;):)

Best of luck and I feel purty safe that I get to keep my knife - stroking it now ! :grumpy::grumpy::D:p:p:p

The knife up for possible GAW:

This my favorite knife:

I like the GAW knife because it has a sheepsfoot blade, jigged covers and S&M quality rivals GEC.

Even though I have no dog in this hunt I think the Arizona Wildcats might give Kentucky a run for the title.

I'm a Christian Hatener!!

Thanks for a chance at the GAW

Get the knife in the mail to me, make your funeral arrangements, make peace with the Lord etc., because I will own that knife after the Final game!:eek::D

Michigan State looks to be a team that will beat the Wildcats! You heard it here first folks! Kentucky is shaking in there boots!

Go Green!! :D

Final Score Correctly  I just noticed this part!:barf::barf::eek: Never mind about contacting the Undertaker Primble! No one will win that! :barf::confused::grumpy:

:D:D:D

I'll bow out of the competition but I must say rule #6 is so dear to my heart.

Needs to stay focused on knives, folks. This is a knife forum, after all.

Frank - I will amend the last rules, in an effort to comply. :)

Rules amended to comply. See rules above or page one. Your entry MUST also comply with rule 3.
