Problem Resolved

So there are two possible answers.

One, someone from the postal system took it during transit or it fell out of the package. That would be a shame since there is not likely anything that can or will be done to reconcile the loss. I've heard many storied of similar incidents with no resolution.

Two, eowyn is to blame. I don't want to point fingers but, as a new member, it seems fishy to me that you would open the package on camera for the first time and start a thread immediately pointing the finger at fishiker. Seems to me like a good way to get the blame off yourself ahead of time. Again, I don't mean so sound accusatory, merely an observation.

All we have to go on is your word that you received the package as you claim. Fishiker has proof he sent his end and, as we have already mentioned, it's more than easy enough to get into those flat rate boxes without damaging them.

Please don't take this as an attack, I am just exploring all the possibilities.

He sent it, it got lost or stolen, end of story.
You'll get your knife back.

I don't see how there was an issue to begin with if you stated the issue to him and he agreed to send you your knife back.

In my opinion it should have never been posted here. He shipped, you didn't get it, you told him that, and he sent your knife back.

Done deal.

Something we'l never really know...

Not a done deal because Fishiker is out of an Izula 2... Either 1. lost in transit. 2. stolen by a postal worker. or 3. stolen by the OP. It's not hard to open the sides of the boxes without damaging them if there's no tape... He could have the Izula AND is getting his Military back... Who knows at this point...

I always do take pictures or videos of all packages I receive even from online retailers, I do this to serve as "Documentation or Evidence", this is what I've learned and was taught in the Police Academy, to always document yourself so that when things go wrong, you have your self covered. It is just like writing everything that transpired in your Policeman's Notebook which is admissible in court. Also, please do check me out at XDA Developers with username "eowyn" http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3526192 this is just a $ 50.00 - $ 80.00 knife, I trade/sell/buy high end cellularphones and tablets ranging $ 200.00 - $ 800.00 prices. Everyone started as a Noob Sir/Mam and that is why I asked him to post a picture of the receipt to show proof.

taking videos and pictures to make sure everything goes smoothly and to protect yourself sounds very smart to me there are just to many people looking to scam each other better to be protected

I don't need to steal a knife from somebody, especially from someone who has 24 positive feedbacks, if I'd wanted to, I would have done it with somebody else who has no feedback like me, frankiscool for one who agreed to send me hi Kershaw Cryo and Spyderco Endura 4 as shown in the pictures of my collection below, i can buy an Izula 2 anytime I like, but decided to just have one on a trade since I am not putting all my knives into use.

I actually have A LOT more to say regarding neverdie36's post (which I'll probably post later), but to chime in really quick, when purchasing items of higher values ($100+) I too very often video tape myself unpackaging it. I always consider the worst case scenario, and if in such a situation where I needed to prove a claim, I prefer to provide evidence as opposed to solely my word.

As we've seen in this thread, how much is the word of someone you don't know worth to you......almost nothing to say the least.

In situations like this--in most cases, TRUST TRUMPS FACT.

I find this very unfortunate; however, there is not much one can do about it. To rephrase an earlier statement, isn't a fact a statement which you put your trust in? Its safe to say that it is trust that gives a statement validity and it's status of a fact. Not vice versa. Just something to think about.....

I will be sending Fishiker a Money Order worth $ 30.00, the same amount I received from him as part of the trade after I receive the Spyderco Military. With him posting the picture of the Transaction Receipt from the P.O. with regards to the shipping of the Izula 2 satisfies my inquiry and relinquishes any doubt of him not shipping the knife. Again, my sincerest apology to you Fishiker, please forgive me of my actions. I also ask the community and Moderators whom I have offended with my words, actions or by making this thread, it is easy to say something when you are not at the other receiving end. Also, taking pictures of receipts, delivery confirmations and and others and keeping them until the end of the trade/sale were in fact was strongly suggested by the Moderators, I just think video recording is much better as it shows continuity of the action being done by the person in the video, it will be easier to determine if he is trying to alter something.

I, for myself have again learned something new from this transaction, and by making this thread, another learning experience and I do hope everyone did learn something from here also. I will close this thread when Fishiker receives the Money Order from me, and I will change the title to resolved, if Fishiker would agree. Also, I do hope that this will not be the last transaction between me and Fishiker, I am so sorry we started on a wrong foot, again I apologize for my actions that had offended you.

That box wasn't even taped. No wonder it fell out.

Tape is so inexpensive and plentiful, they actually sell it in entire rolls. It's a huge pet peeve of mine to receive packages that have not one bit of tape securing the contents.

The small flat rate boxes WILL NOT REMAIN CLOSED WITHOUT TAPE. I have seen it a 1,000 times. You have to tape the boxes. The glue won't hold the origami boxes for very long.

If have received 1 empty flat rate envelope from usps, I called company my items came from and they sent new stuff over night, they now send me stuff in small boxes wrapped in tape... I always use clear tape or priority mail tape form post office and seal all openings and creases.

I received the Military earlier today. I have also sent the $ 30.00 Money Order to Fishiker and he should receive it by Tuesday or Wednesday per the P.O. clerk who received it. Sorry no tracking for this one. I will close the thread when Fishiker acknowledges receipt of the M.O.

The key is good, no great packaging!!! Make the package weigh an extra 12 ounces.................in tape!!!!!

Just want to weigh in here, I had the Sharpmaker and almost traded eowyn. Something seemed off to me for sure. I happened to have an account on XDA Developers forum (one he mentioned he had feedback on), so I sent him a pm. He responded, so he does have great feedback over there. Could be he hacked the account, but I trusted him then.

Am I getting it right? Are you accusing me of hacking my own account on XDA Developers? How about my account on Cell Trader Online? Did I hack it also? So you are insinuating that I scammed Fishiker over a $50-80 knife? Is it because I did not trade with you? Why don't you ask the people who left me feedback there like bhuachua who is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada who asks his seller to ship to me the phones he buys from XDA so I can ship it to him because sellers does not want to ship to Canada, he gifts me money so I can purchase for him because sellers don't want to sell outside USA? Ask MLee, Killster, Ghostello who did the same thing, gifted me $ 1,000.00 so I can purchase 6 Samsung phones for him so I can ship it to him to Russia while he was having his vacation there, ask those people whom I transacted with on XDA, you can do it, you have access, that is why I gave you XDA as my reference so you could do a background check on me and by the way, you do not have any feedback on XDA Developers. and I am not a hacker, I do not know how to hack a computer or an account. Not because I am on XDA I am already a computer whiz. I was there mainly to trade/sell/buy phones. Back there on XDA when someone gets scammed, we do a fundraiser where every member chips in any amount until we reached the price of the phone he was scammed with so could recover his loss. We do that as a community there, so please stop accusing me of hacking my account there, I am a good person, I am a good friend to have, I am willing to do anything for a friend, I am an honest man and cares for other peoples hard work and I am not a thief.

I think he's just vouching for your feedback and saying it that it would be unlikely that you hacked into the account over there.
