Problem with a Trade

Ashley whined to a member- yiterp that e-mailed john and threatened him on ashleys behalf, that if john didnt send the knife back he would visit john and john wouldn't like it if he did. He mentioned bladeforum. He said he has johns address and lives nearby. If you would like the e-mail i'll forward it to you. By the way john told ashley he has a knife collection of over 300 knives, she asked him for pictures, which he sent. Thats how she saw the kershaw, he never offered it.

Mr. Sears or whomever you are, I think it would be prudent at this juncture to post the email you speak of here to get to the truth of the matter and in the interest of full disclosure..

Blade Forums is without question thee foremost authority on the web regarding all things produced of sharpened steel and their is a group of folks here you'll find no where else all in one place. I know you will find them fair minded and they will not judge you, John, yiterb, Knife Craized and whomever else may be involved prematuraly. If all the facts are laid out here, then the TRUTH will prevail. I say let the TRUTH prevail. Everything is just emotional conjecture.

What say you?

The plot thickens. Sent yiterp a PM so he's aware and can respond.

BF can always be relied upon to provide a bit of light entertainment.

Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our knives. ;)

There's sure been some weird threads on Bladeforums lately. I don't know what to make of this one other than to think it is best left to the two people involved to work it out.

If only. Apparently the OP is having someone else email the guy she's complaining about, and he's having someone else post here on BFC for him. They don't seem to actually be communicating with each other. It seems kinda like grade school to be honest. Sending messages back and forth through their friends. People are silly.

Ashley didn't get ripped off, she tried to con that guy

I don't think anyone here is leaning to her side. It's all very confusing. Personally, I'm leaning to your side for the simple fact that you haven't posted in giant purple letters. That's just irritating.

. . I don't know what to make of this one other than to think it is best left to the two people involved to work it out.

I disagree.. Information is knowledge and knowledge is power, and personally I trade with lots of different folks in BF much to often to not know the names of the players with integrity and the ones without.

Ashley brought this to Bladeforum and it never should have been. I just thought I should defend my friend. He was threatened by another member of this site. My name is Bud Sears, I am a real person. John is not a thief. This is my last message on this site....Bud Sears

Nonsense. Stick around if you're a knife guy. Invite your friend too. We're a friendly bunch for the most part.

What about the email you offered to prove your case?

Sheesh, just when I was starting to have some faith on the Bud Sears and John side of this silly story.. I guess not.

I normally agree with that, but this situation is so weird that I am confused as to who actually did what.

As I understand it a U.S. federal statute prohibits the interstate commerce of autos by individuals and companies unless they are being sent to active duty L.E.O.'s and military or to someone supplying them.

exceptions: Switchblade knives can be shipped: (1) to civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government; (2) to supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National guard, or militia of a state, territory or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in the connection with the activities of such organization; (3) to supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city or other political subdivision of a State or Territory; procuring or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of such government.

Notice that just being a police officer or soldier is NOT, in and of itself, a license to collect automatic knives personally. No. You have to be the procurement officer of your agency or unit and you have to be buying on behalf of your agency or unit for official use, not on behalf of yourself for private/personal use.

i was only trying to help ashley with her knife--i am sorry john if i came across wrong--just hate it people are done wrong in a deal--be it you or her--again john i am sorry i contacted you
