I got the word to send the knife back for a refund about a week ago. I took a long video showing the exact condition of the knife, as well as packing, labeling, and shipping the knife. I did this so he could not claim it was damaged or any other nonsense.

I received my money back yesterday. I emailed Jason and said I wanted to make sure he got the Emerson, and asked him what he thought about the problems it had. I wanted to know if he really had missed the problems or had he intentionally lied. He still hasn't answered back.

Thank you for the community support, even though in this case it was able to do nothing.

This is an interesting scenario, one that I haven't seen too much of. As a mod here, I have to try and look at this objectively in every situation. Some are very cut and dry, one person has seriously malicious intent. The other is a victim of either their own ignorance or a genuine plan to get ripped off. We need to think about this and figure something out. In the mean time, money has been refunded and the item has been returned. Nothing lost but calm and tranquility for a couple weeks (I hope).
 
Does't look like he's been back since 2/25. Hopefully we have all learned something from this mess.
