I hope I'm not asking a stupid question but, are these going to have the Bladeforums semicircle stamp like the last two had?

If you mean the tang stamp, it looks like the answer is "yes" -- ?

From the 2012 Forum Knife Description post:

"Blade Tangs: Must accomodate Bladeforums Tang Stamp (one pip must be removed so that there are 8 left - to be provided), "2012" tang stamp."

~ P.

Thanks Sarah. I thought I had remembered that but couldn't see it anywhere.

A few more progress pics. Looks like they're making good time on our little project.

Interesting, looks like GEC is going with what they had in the line drawings.
I thought the original plan was for "Bolster Style: Rattail (one thick groove)" on the bolster.
Wonder what the reason is for not going with one thick groove?

Was kinda hoping we'd get the one big groove, got that on some old sheffield knives and it just feels good in hand...but I'm not picky, should look great completed.

I was also looking forward to the rat-tail groove, seemed a little less ordinary with regard to GEC's. Should be amazing either way in either style.

Love the pictures. Thanks for sharing. I'm really excited to get this knife and put it to use.

shows the line drawing with the 3 grooves...this is in the 'preview' thread
The confusion may have come in from the use of a T Bose knife used as an 'example' of what the finished product might resemble.
...or Post #1 definitely states ONE groove...I'm happy either way, but if they were going to change something I wish it would have been substituting 440 for the carbon :D

Oh yeah.
That drawn swedge looks much nicer. And all of us who want a rattail groove can always use a file :)

I agree, that drawn swedge on the wharcliffe is perfect! I'm sure the cut swedge on the clip will complement the whole knife...I agree about the file, just be careful, its so easy to screw up so practice first.

You guys suck ya kow that, I'm just tryin' to forget about this knife so that it doesn't drive me crazy waitin' like every year before.

I was doin' so good, every once in awhile I'd peek on the order thread and over here on occasion, now ya got me lookin' here every day and then ya go and post progress pictures, spoiler pictures...... yer drivin' me crazy.

Got any more pics, I need a fix now, I'm hooked on the anticipation, c'mon, hook a brother up... :)

The latest shot of what I consider to be the nicest Wharncliffe blade GEC has ever produced. Beautiful!
