Proof of the pudding, photo of a BG-42 301

Received my Buck Knives 301's today. I purchased 1 with BCCI logo and 2 without. Fantastic job everyone on this one in my opinion. Great in every way. Razor sharp. Fit and finish perfect. Thank you to all that were involved in this one. For those of you on thinking about getting one my suggestion is don't wait.

Had a strange box in my mail today......Buck Collector's Club Inc.....wow what a nice surprise! It's awesome!

Thanks to all that put this together, a simple high quality classic knife at a great price, right down my alley! I much prefer this to a very fancy, high priced decorated knife. I hope more of these usable knives are available in the future.

Yep, I agree! I'd love to see Buck do a Barlow just like this one

Now JB, you know they 'sorta' did some once. But, my personal rule is if it doesn't have a model number and/or date code its not a "real" Buck. These were just like the old 300s, made by Camillus, in this case only as specials for sale by SMKWs but I just can't wrap my heart around them as true Bucks since they don't have stamped model numbers. I know, I know there are 50 people who will be glad to take them off my hands. 300

The small yellow scaled Barlow of this special run, is likely one of the top two or three hardest Buck folders to find. I've personally seen two. Good Luck

This has been a wild all over the place thread, I likely should have told myself to go start a new thread. I will try harder in future to do as good as I expect others to do............GDL, When the time comes you will get a chance... and I have one other, a prototype....300

This is my version of the story. Here is my knife in hand..

But this is the knife is was suppose to eventually be, Camillus used one of the left over Bucks/SMKWs to show Remington the knife it would eventually make with the gun shield. But mine has no gun, no Remington marks. Its just like the first Bucks.

Received my knife today, it's perfect! How are you going to handle yours going forward. Safe queen, EDC, or special occasions? Just curious

Still at work - hope mine is there to greet me when I get home! As far as EDC vs SQ, I am undecided. You?

This thread has pushed me over the edge! I'm moving outta this state. No BG 301 yet! :(

Lol

Sweet knives guys, I am more excited than ever after seeing the pics!

Don't feel bad Jim, I go no BG-301 yet! How is that even possible when coastal guys in the state above me and a guy in my state below me have theirs in hand:eek::(

Don't know who lives there, but was thinking that some here haven't even received theirs yet.

OK, The BCCI was selling them to anyone walking by at the Blade Show because we had so many left after offering to BCCI members.
I will repeat and I know some of you know this but these are payment due when received from Buck or in other words they are a hole in the BCCI pocket.

So, I am certain the "after-market" knives came from Blade Show attending people that make a partial living doing such things.

At the end of last week there were still some left. I know some of you BCCI guys make a little side money selling aftermarket, it appears that these "pocket tools" are not BCCI 'hot'. So if you want to buy a half dozen and sell them be my guest. Get in the upper $100s and it will make mine more valuable.

And finally, whoever has not received their's yet, I hope it is in mail. BUT, we were to received these in two batches ( think Custom made), at the time of the Blade Show only batch one had come in. I can assure John will bust his tail getting these out to the late ordering folks from the second shipping. Always remember my father's saying.....You snooze you lose......300

The BCCI membership list isn't searchable by location, unfortunately. Would be handy to see who lives nearby for trades, talk and get together.

Perhaps the seller is fresh from Atlanta's Blade show, however, the timing of the sale smacks of mail delivery. Sharing is good. I'm watching to see what the market, $, will say about this terrific folder.
