Proposed 2022 Bladeforums knife??

Isnt that an 83 Tascosa?
I don't know the technical terms but the 83 has a little ridge where the fingers rest (like the 73). This doesn't have that. The 83 is also 3 3/8" closed. This is mocked up to be 3.5".

Please count me in for however it comes out!

That GEC proposal looks awesome!

I like the two blades, along the lines of the Case Copperhead. One small one for cutting tough things and one longer one that is wide enough to spread things like peanut butter.

If possible, perhaps a sheepsfoot for the small blade? I find those very useful.

Also, I hope it is "cigar" style, a wider and heftier body than those Case Copperheads who tend to be flat. I can't tell from the image.

A bunny on the bolster would look so cool and probably be easier than a bunny shield. I am wonder how to make an image of the two blades up like ears and a little face on the bolster, like a rabbit version of the French Cinq Coq.

Any chance to increase the length to more like 4-4.5 inches? Want to be able to cut all the way across a large apple.

Just my little dream... I'd be overjoyed to have one of these, regardless.

Just wondering where the idea for black came from. When I think of a bunny it's usually more like those brown appaloosa bone handles.

Black, white, spotted, gray, they all work, of course.

Been busy the past month or so, but glad I dropped by today.

If I'm elegible and it's not too late, I'm definitely in.

After last year, I figgered if anyone ever brought up the idea of another forum knife, they'd be immediately permaban. 🤣 Only Charlie 😇 could do this - and thank God for it.

I love the pattern. I love the black. I love the matte. Not exactly sure what "synthetic" means here? Plastic? Not a big fan of that . . . would prefer some kind of wood or even micarta. But, OK - that sounds fine.

Anyway , , , much thanks, again, St. Charlie!

See post #1
I saw that, but it just tells us that GEC provided black synthetic handles in their proposal, not why they selected that color. Post #1 did tell us that the two blade model was very popular and therefore (I infer) that's what we're going with.

I hope that clarifies my question. ;)

When GEC does a mock-up, that's pretty much the way it's going to be. They would not do a mock-up of a pen secondary, then put in a coping.
I suppose the color of the handle could change, but I seriously doubt it.
Charlie said, here is a bunny knife, and here is GEC's version of it.... pretty much eliminates the "can you make it bigger, can you make it green, can you put three blades on it" kind of discussion. Which is what is NEEDED for the Forum knife project....

edit: I think we have two choices.... buy it, or don't.

I like the pattern, that it's a two blade, it's at least 3.5 inch closed, and that it will (likely) be in GEC's excellent 1095.

A couple questions:
1) Do I qualify to purchase? Member for x months or years; z number of meaningful posts in the traditional forum or y percentage of "likes", and/or other restrictions that may be imposed to thwart the flippers.

2) How many firsts of the months do I have to save up for one? I'm going to hazard a guess it'll be more than my $80/month plus two tubes dip and maybe a 2 liter of whatever Shasta calles their version of Mountain Dew spending limit.
(I finished my hoarding/stocking up of Ramin Noodles for snacks and as an alternative when the menu says "hot dogs" or "corn dogs", for example, this month.)

3) Will Debit cards be a payment option, or will it be PayPal only?

If I qualify to buy, don't have to use PayPal, and there will be a minimum of three first of the month before it is released, please put me down for one. 🙂
I'm in depending on the answer to #1 above. These look great!

Exactly. Don’t expect it to change at all. I’m just curious about the handle, delrin or micarta. The current black delrin run of sudbusters may be a sign….
